We hosted my son's rehearsal dinner in Sept at the Santa Barbara Wine Collective and utilized Lucky Penny to cater for 70 people. Santa Barbara Wine Collective:  We had booked the entire place.  It had great character (not a boring/plain dining room).  We were able to bring in little vases of flowers & photo stands for the tables.  They were able to seat 70 people.  It was a casual setting so it allowed folks to relax, talk, eat/drink.    The wine & beer they offered was wonderful Lucky Penny:  With this location, you have to choose within their catering group and we picked Lucky Penny. First time visit mid-afternoon on a Wednesday. Location is convenient and the outdoor patio is inviting. There were only a few patrons there at the time. We were excited for the opportunity to get to know some smaller labels from the region. Unfortunately, there was no guidance from the staff about the wines they represent. We were left with a menu and told to order at the counter. When we made our tasting choices and received our wine there was still no information. Had we wanted just a wine bar then maybe our visit would have been ok. Unfortunately we were looking to learn more in order to make informed bottle purchases...

Christian was our bar tender and he couldn't have been nicer. We sat at the bar and had the tasting g flights and he kept us informed throughout.

As we stayed longer he topped us up with tasters he enjoyed and as the night ended, gave us the ends of bottles he couldn't sell anymore.

A perfect example of how to do service and create a good feeling among the people you're serving. Would not hesitate to recommend. If you're working off the older leaflet about the Urban Wine trail, this encompasses a couple of the stops...
