Pearl Social Cocktail Club — Restaurant in Santa Barbara

Incredibly rude staff. Walked in and there was no one at the front gate. Walked further assuming we would be greeted at some point given there was two male employees standing and observing at the entrance. One seemed to be a managerial type, which seems to me that he should have made sure the front was covered if the hostess is seating a table or at the very least keeping track of people coming in as they enter.

My partner and I sat ourselves at a table like any other normal bar, since we were not at any point greeted, approached, or welcomed. I got up to use the restroom just to have the managerial type man approach me aggressively to ask if I had been sat by a hostess. I told him no because there was not one upon entering and we weren't sure what the deal is. (Knowing full well he had watched me partner and I walk in together approx ten minutes before., so I'm not sure why he felt the need to approach me, by myself). He proceeded to passively state that they might be fully booked and we needed to see the hostess immediately (there were less than 20% of the tables full inside and out).

Upon meeting the hostess outside she informed us it was $10 a person and we could only sit at the bar.

Terrible experience here. So many things could have been approached differently. Will not ever come here again. Which is a shame because I have been singing their praises all holiday season and SENDING...

I can not say enough wonderful things about Lynette, Kasey & their events team. Lynette was so wonderful to work with up until the event and on the day of made sure everything went to plan and was taken care of just as the client and myself had dreamed up. She was fantastic at communicating throughout the planning process, jumping on calls and being so accommodating. Kasey and the Catering team were on point with the timeline and each course, professional and so wonderful to work with. The food and cocktails were just spectacular as well as the plating! We've been here twice this holiday season for the Miracle Pop-up Bar and both visits were a bit of a let down compared to last year.

First visit, we had a reservation for 6 people and ended up having to wait about 30 minutes to sit down. Standing in the cold wasn't fun. The service was great but the drinks tasted really off, especially the Yippee Ki Yay. Almost undrinkable.

Second visit, we were sat right away, put in some drinks and ordered the cheese ball with olive oil lavash. The drinks were good but the cheese ball came with Ritz Crackers instead of the olive oil lavash. Not too spectacular.

Maybe they were off nights but to sub in Ritz crackers for olive oil lavash is very un-Acme of them haha. We'll see...
