We were excited to try this new food truck. We ordered onion tomato chilli uttappum, pizza dosa and sapota juice. Very soon we realized the service was slow as the 2 couples who ordered before us got their food after long time. We kept waiting patiently but later people who had ordered after us kept getting their orders, when it happened once it was a small to go order so we let it slide, then another couple who had ordered around 10-12 mins after us got their order, so I went and asked if the sequence in which orders were given was being followed or not, I was told something was wrong with the pizza dosa so they had to make it again. Then again a really big order of 10-12 items was given before us. And we had not received anything. If they had to redo the pizza dosa we should have at least gotten our uttappum, as everyone was getting their orders in a staggered manner. But we never got anything for more than 45 mins. When we finally got our order they forgot the sapota juice, the pizza dosa was pretty good but the uttappum was burnt and tasted pretty bad. Service is slow, doesn't know how to manage orders, wont be...
Read moreWe were really craving punugulu and happened to come across a food truck in Santa Clara, right at the corner of El Camino Real and San Tomas Expwy, near The Off Ramp Bicycle Shop. The great thing about this spot is that there is plenty of space and parking available. They have a few tables with chairs and a couple of high tables where you can stand and eat. We decided to order Punugulu, Poori with Channa Masala, and Pizza Dosa. We started with the Poori and Channa Masala, which turned out to be a delicious combination. The Channa Masala was flavorful and came with three not-too-oily Pooris. Next, we tried the Pizza Dosa, which had a nice homemade pizza taste but was quite greasy. The Punugulu were also good, with a sprinkle of chaat masala on top. The only downside was the sambar and peanut chutney, which didn't taste good and affected the overall flavor. However, the ginger chutney was okay, and we managed with that. Overall, it's a nice spot with tasty food at...
Read moreFlying Idlis food truck is an absolute delight! I've had the pleasure of trying their idlis, and they are hands down the best I've had outside of South India. The idlis are incredibly soft and perfectly steamed, just melting in your mouth. The chutneys and sambar that come with them are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced.
What I love most about this food truck is the authenticity and quality of the food. It's clear that they put a lot of care and effort into each dish. The dosa and vada are also top-notch—crispy, delicious, and cooked to perfection.
The service is quick and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you're getting. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or a hearty meal, Flying Idlis food truck has you covered.
If you come across this food truck, don't miss the chance to try it. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves South Indian food. I'll definitely be coming...
