Omg, what a horrific place this is!! If I could write a review and give them 0 stars I would feel better about this review because they don't even deserve 1 star!! For starters, the menu alone is enough to make you want to throw up in your mouth. I understand that it's different cultures and there are some things that get lost in translation. But I can't see anyone getting all excited to order a dish that has ENTRAILS, YES, ENTRAILS in the dishes name. I mean seriously, there has to be another word that would convey the same meaning without triggering my gag reflex.
So once I was able to move past that nonsense, I had a hard time finding anything that sounded good. I finally settled on this green onion and chicken dish. When it was brought out and put in front of me, I was less than impressed. There was this pile of what appeared to be small pieces of deep fried chicken and a mound of chopped green onion on top of it. The first piece I took a bite out of I literally could not even bite through it. My fiance tried as well and said "Well maybe it was a piece of fat and not all of them are like that." So I tried another piece and I was able to bite a piece off and chew it but the taste could be best described as the taste you get when defrosting chicken in the microwave for too long and then cooking it. The waitress came to the table to bring us some sliced watermelon, I said no thank you. She asked if I wanted to take the chicken home and I said absolutely not.
We explained to her what the problem was and she said to put the sauce on it. I almost lost my cool. I stated that there wasn't enough sauce in the world that could fix that. She took the plate and said something to the cook in Korean and then came back with the bill. I looked at it and asked her what was the item that she has $26 next to. She said it was for the chicken dish that was inedible!!! I told her that I was not going to pay for that and to remove it from the bill. She obliged but the damage was done. I will never go back...
Read moreDon’t come here please. Me and my 2 other college friends wanted a good late night meal and searched up korean bbq places this was the only place open at 12 AM we slightly looked at the review but didn’t pay much attention and didn’t dig deep in the bad reviews. when we walked in they forced us to each pick an order and said if we didn’t buy 3 order they weren’t gonna serve us we had a good meal and they cooked for us but when it came time to pay they forced us to pay 18% we wanted to tip $20 because to us that was the right amount for there service. They proceeded to point out the fact that our tip was too little even though to us it was a lot considering we’re in college and don’t have a stable job. We honestly found it quite insulting and they then circled the $60 that they wanted us to pay for the tip we found it outrageous because $60 was a whole meal at a restaurant and we were paying the amount for mediocre service. We asked them why we had to tip that amount and they told us the reason hurriedly so all we could hear was that because it was 3 people and since it was 3 meal the tip had to be 18% and they rushed off before we could ask anymore questions. We were confused but forced to pay or else they wouldn’t let us leave. We decided to just pay the $60 and when we gave it to them they practically ripped it out of our hands. We were hurrying to the car afterwards upset by how our fun dinner hangout resulted. I was troubled so I texted my friend about the incident and she told me the exact same thing happened to her. She had a small get together there and it was for 6 people. They told her at the end to tip 18% and she ended up having to tip almost $150 just for the tip. This place is...
Read moreMy sister and I had a terrible experience today (June 23, 2023) at a place I used to enjoy years ago before the pandemic. The older female waitress (long black hair, big lips, about 5’4) was extremely rude. We arrived early for our reservation but struggled to find parking due to their tiny lot shared with other businesses. My sister went inside to inquire about parking, but instead of answering the question the waitress literally barked back at her saying we couldn't be seated until both of us were present or she’ll give the table to someone else. I ended up parking in the residential area and found my way inside about 5 min later, then confronted the waitress about her rude behavior towards my sister. She rudely responded in Korean, claiming it was our responsibility to find parking, then pretended she didn’t remember talking to my sister (which she clearly did) and avoided making eye contact with me. FYI this was supposed to be my sister’s birthday dinner to celebrate her birthday today. After witnessing her childish behavior, we decided to leave and went to Illbunjee next door, who treated us well.
I'm shocked at how they treat their customers, and hope they reconsider their staff hiring process. Will NOT recommend this place to friends and family. I recall she was also rude on the phone when making the initial...
