A family run diner and afghan market which has been around for many years. Was pleased to chance upon it.
The Chapli kebabs were out of this world - soft and fresh with the right amount of crispiness. Served with white rice and a small piece of afghan bread. I’ve not had such good kebabs even in NYC or Queens.
The afghan pulao was nice - a bit too sweet for my liking but I loved the huge bone of lamb served with it. The meat was tender, flavorful and just falling off the bone.
Both dishes came with a side of nan, salad, yogurt and green chutney. I wish the yogurt was served in a separate container. I think the prices were reasonable. We got takeout so couldn’t enjoy the ambience of the place. But hope to be back soon.

The host will check on the guests frequently but works in the kitchen. However, they are very friendly and welcoming. Weekdays lunch buffet is good. Limited choice of meat, rice and vegetables dishes, but, quality and taste is good. You can also order from their regular menu. Once you eat here, you will return again and again. The gentlemen on the counter, is disrespectful person, i asked him simple question, Is you’re breads fresh? He answer me very rude and disrespectful way. And he said,did I ever had a fresh bread in my home in Afghanistan ? So I will recommend all new afghans they just immigrated to the United States, to not go that store. He is very hypocrite and nepotism person and disrespectful to all Customers. I will not delete my review till he changes his attitude...
