The food is so good, and the staff are really sweet. When I do get a drink it's really tasty (although some of the teas come out undrinkably hot - if you got it in a mug, it takes like 10+ minutes to cool down enough to enjoy). But they've been soft-opened for like a month, and still there's no decaf espresso and no decaf tea (like hibiscus). Medically I can't have caffeine, so if I want to have a drink I'm left with super-sweet high calorie options like smoothies or the lemonade. Which are delicious! But I can't go through three of them through an afternoon of laptop working.
The interior is really beautiful but for some reason some of the furniture is already damaged, although it just opened.
And they now have wifi, but I had to ask for the password from the barista, it wasn't posted anywhere.
Once it opens for real I'll return, maybe. But I'm just very disappointed - between the long wait to open and now the long wait for them to actually have their full menu on offer, I'm not very optimistic for how long it will take for the grand opening (and presumably the full...
Read moreFirst off, they are open 20 hours a day! How many places can be relied for both an early coffee and a nightcap?
They have a lot of outlets and free wifi. It is the perfect study space with little niches and floor-to-high ceiling windows. They have board games near the door and sometimes free water bottles for the taking.
Last time we went at night and the place was packed. Only one table left and severely understaffed. The drinks and food took awhile. As for those, the drinks are okay, slightly pricey for what they are. The banana matcha is bomb though. There are desserts, breads, and pastries. Most of them are about $7.
The cheesecake is really rich and the slice is big. It doesn't look it but I had half a slice and already felt like I ate a stick of goat cheese. They have flavored cakes that taste like tres leche. I had the rose milk cake. One time we got empanadas and they heated the wrong one so gave it to us on the house. Nice of them. So overall, a great variety on the menu but only a few I...
Read moreUnfortunately, yet interior is pretty good, the food & service are not quite right. We ordered some samosas and other pastries. Some with meat, some without. I just get them all piled and when I asked which is which – they honestly didn’t know. The food itself was really dry and barely warm. Potato samosa was very dry. Spinach&feta was Lon on feta. Instead of beef pastry we got just a spinach one. Fwiw, it was the tastiest one. When I asked to replace the item with a proper one. It was forgotten about and on a second reminder they finally gave it to me, so I took it to go. But before leaving, I decided to take a look at it and it was just a mess. When I get something for $6.50 I would expect it to be at least in one piece, but they just said it’s the way it’s baked 🤷♂️
Really overpriced for that...
