OMG Tea — Restaurant in Santa Clara

Okay, I gotta give credit where credit is due. I haven't had good assam milk tea in a while and had pretty much lost hope. When my friend wanted to try this place because it's close by, I went with my gut and ordered the assam milk tea with pearls (50% sweet). It's not the best in the world, but it's definitely tasty, actually tastes like tea, and really hits the spot. Very impressive. I can't speak for the other drinks on the menu, but this one is solid.

My only nitpick is from my first visit. The cashier was short with me and couldn't answer a simple question: "How sweet do you guys make your milk teas? Some places make them really sweet while others are mild." She seemed little annoyed, which felt more like a training issue. The second time came, there was different cashier who was much nicer.

Both times, the assam milk tea tasted the same, which is a good sign. Since I went at night, there weren't a lot of people and the ambiance was pretty quiet. I imagine that during the day it's a different story, but at night it's calm...

Did not love the experience or customer service. I ordered an almond milk tea, and my expectation was for a black milk tea base with almond powder or syrup. I was surprised to see a white drink. I asked whether there was tea in there, and he said it was a powder based drink with no tea.

It's confusing because there's "tea" in the name, and my experience with almond milk tea is that there is tea in the Almond Milk Tea.

The most unfortunate experience was that when I explained it, there was a blank stare followed by "what do you want us to do?" It also felt like I had to explain myself multiple times that the tea that I ordered didn't have tea in it.

Suggestion: 1) Try Googling "Almond Milk Tea" and see whether the pictures appear to have tea in it. 2) If they do, rename your concoction to "Almond Milk". :0)

Well...they were out of the normal size boba, so i got the mimi boba which was ok. Definetely love the normal size much more. The tea tasted great i just wish they had more than ONE size. Tpumps is my favorite....not only because of their customer service...(they rock! And definetely have customer service down!) but they have a 32oz. Thats the SAME price as Sharetea's one size. And Tpumps doesnt charge for Boba! Their Boba is marinated in honey which makes it all the more...
