Hunny Hair & Nail Spa — Local services in Santa Clara

I just came out of this place and I am writing this horrible review because I had THE worst experience.

First, I called in to see if they were open and the lady on the phone says she closes at 8, but will be able to take me in if I come in at 8 since she still has customers. Okay great, I go in. I get escorted to their other location once I walk in, okay no problem. The ladies are still with people and one person that is finishing up with a lady is almost done. No problem.

So I get there at 8. I wait 20 minutes. No problem, I understand. I am last minute and they were still able to take me in. So they start the services. I get the deluxe pedicure. So as she is moving along I she is taking her time, the massage was so so, it wasn't great or anything I would pay for again.

It took 1 hour and 30 minutes for this process, probably longer if I let the lady take her sweet time. We are now at 930PM and I already told the manicurist that I did NOT want to color my toes because I didn't want to wait another 30 or however long it would take. The man who works there tried to pressure me to tell me it needs a top coat, I told them, I already said no and I no longer care for a top coat because the finishing touches already took 15 extra minutes when I told the lady no I do not want color. The man and the lady both were trying to pressure me to stay and I felt very much held against my will. I said I want to go home I said this 15 minutes ago and I no longer want this service. I said no. I said no about 3 times before I had to raise my voice and they finally said sorry. I called the place before I left to get the name of the manager or hopefully the person who promised that she would take care of me when I arrived. But as I expressed on the phone the horrible experience I had and requested the manager's name, all I got was oh call back tomorrow. Although she wanted to know what happened, I never received a name. Seems like I should come by tomorrow and cause a scene in order for them to actually hear me out. I now remember why I...

Sadly I will not be coming back here I had to get my fingers checked at an urgent care for being in extreme pain. It wasn’t until my cousin who does nails professionally told me that the technician removed my acrylic nails the wrong way instead of soaking and filing them down she used the device used to clip the cuticles to pry the nails off I had no idea she was doing it wrong. Even my little one that was there said that it seemed off how hard she was trying to remove the fake nail off. I’m so upset and in so much pain I’m having a hard time just typing this and price wise was way too much and not at all what they have online. Plus the woman that did my little ones nails and mine included could not add up the cost properly and for a 10year old mani and mani/pedi for me including tip I ended up paying $220… sorry but I feel like we were ripped off especially how she left my finger nails in pain and the nail feels like it’s about to come off when I touch it, my little ones nails were left thick and lumpy even when this was her first time getting her nails done she was upset. The pedi was alright though the lady did cut a little too deep on one of my larger toes and it wasn’t until I looked closer that there was a cut…. I just wanted to treat myself and little one to a girl day but we ended up just being disappointed, feeling ripped off, and now I’m just tying to recover from the pain I have on my finger nails…. They are awesome! Great service they went above and beyond ,friendly people, talented people working here-my nails look beautiful it’s exactly what I wanted thanks Vi! (this is Dana) I called half hour before they closed and they Said sure come on in we will take care of you and they certainly did, I showed up to the wrong spot – they have two locations and the door was locked I thought maybe I took too long and drove away but then I received a phone call and it was the nail salon asking if I was still coming to get my nails done and I said well the door was locked I thought you closed they explained that was the other location and gave me great directions to come back to the salon where a sweet woman was outside waiting for me to make sure I found the right spot and then a very talented person did my nails and everything was perfect I was so impressed by their great service and kindness and especially the quality of service- my nails are perfect! It’s hard to find a really good nail artist I called so many places that night and no one wanted to stay open a few minutes late… But the people at Hunny 2 nail were top notch thanks again Vi you rock!
