Carnitas Michoacan — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

I rolled up to this spot late one night, lured by the promise of 24/7 tacos. The al pastor taco was juicy and flavorful, and the carne asada nachos were piled high with cheese and meat—perfect for sharing. The outdoor seating area was spacious and well-lit, making it a comfortable place to eat. Ordering was a bit tricky since I don't speak Spanish, but the staff was patient, and some fellow customers helped me out. The food hit the spot, especially at that hour. This was my first visit to this restaurant. I believe they have several restaurants in Los Angeles so this review is for the location in the canyon country area of Santa Clarita. Service was fast and the burritos were substantial. We got two carne asada burritos and one veggie burrito. It was easy to customize our order and hold the hot sauce on one of the carne asada burritos and less rice and more beans on the other carne asada burrito. This little taqueria is our neighborhood secret. Nice people, plenty of parking, great food, great service. The menu is huge for a little place. Traditional foods and plenty of seafood. My favorites are their tortas (de lingua/tongue), enormous burritos and their nachos con carne (also large). You won't go away hungry.

The prices are a little higher than other taquerias but well worth it. We do takeout a couple of times a week....
