Normally, I'm a huge fan of Gyromania, but it had been some time since I had gone and was craving it.
I ordered the filet mignon souvlaki plate that was supposed to come with rice and tzatziki, my go-to plate as it was always juicy and tender. I went to go pick it up and waited for my order of the plate and additional order of fries. I saw that a worker had opened the to-go box to look at the order, closed it, placed it in a bag and called my name. I picked it up and went on my way.
I came home to find that the tzatziki was not in the to-go box, something that it was supposed to come with. I checked the bag because I thought the worker had checked the order to make sure it was there, but it definitely wasn't. So, that was the first disappointment. Second disappointment, the filet mignon was very dry, hard and too tough to chew. I was actually so disappointed in the food that I couldn't even finish it. And normally if something in the order was missed, I would just leave it, but to pay $30 for the meal (including the fries I ordered) for a disappointing meal, I wanted to call to at least get compensated for the tzatziki to maybe get back a few dollars. I called, but the manager wasn't there and no one could do anything about giving a small refund for the tzatziki. They told me I could come back to pick up the tzatziki or call back the next day to maybe see if I could get in touch with the manager, but at that point the meal felt ruined and it wasn't worth driving back to pick it up or even calling back the next day.
Could've been a one-off thing, but it really disappointed me to have paid $30 for a terrible meal. I'd avoid...

I got the gyro (lamb) plate with fries. The fries were perfectly seasoned, the lamb was outrageously tender and delicious, and all the accompanying sauces (garlic sauce, tzatziki sauce, jalapeno sauce) were equally flavorful and amazing. We also ordered some beef to try, which was good, but it's hard for anything to compare to the lamb.
The owner is a really cool dude. We called ahead of time because my wife, my daughter and I all have pain in the ass allergies to certain foods. He was more than happy to explain how everything was prepared and what was safe to eat. We all were able to eat there worry free and nobody ate any allergens.
We were also given a sample of some Loukoumades (Greek donuts) and they were absurdly delicious. Basically like thick funnel cake with a crispy outside and a soft interior, coated with honey and cinnamon....
Β Β Β Read moreSo today my family was in town visiting, I decided to take them to Gyromania. I visit here quite often not only for the great food but for the unmatched hospitality. Kyriakos (the owner) is always so welcoming and kind, plus my kids love it because they always get free ice creamπ Today was different, because not only were we met with the kindness and delicious food, but Kyriakos walked over to my table and asked how my family and I were doing during this wary time. We made small talk and he ended the conversation by handing me a $20 gift card for the next time I visit. I was so shocked and surprised I started to tear up from the extremely kind gesture. After he left our table he went to every other table and handed them the same card. I have never seen anything like this before and I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years. The pure heart of this man is unreal. I support small business, but I have never had a small...
