I have been fortunate enough to travel the world, and in doing so, I have enjoyed some of the best food from some amazing places! And despite this, I am more amazed and even more grateful to discover incredible restaurants right here in the States! (And whenever I do, I feel it is my responsibility to share this experience with others.)
Casa Pasilla is just the type of place that makes me grateful for being here in the United States - proving that you can achieve delicious, fresh, authentic Mexican food right in your neighborhood. And not only are you served some of the best food you can imagine, but it always comes with an incredible portion of friendliness, gratitude and sincerity. Hanna (Owner, Manager, Customer Caretaker) is obviously one of the reasons so many people come to eat here. She always provides such a welcoming, gracious spirit of warm hospitality to each customer. I appreciate her passion for the business, and the passion she has for her customers. One thing I know for sure is that I can also taste the passion in each dish I’ve had!
The entire staff deserves a “hooray” for the hard work they put toward making all of the customers their number one priority, even when it’s difficult to please everyone. I appreciate their friendliness and professionalism. The chef is also commended for his attention to detail and quality in taste.
Here’s the bottom line, Casa Pasilla is a Santa Clarita gemstone worth spotlighting!!! If you ever want some of the best authentic Mexican food, along with a family / friend environment, then you can guarantee that your stomach will be happy, your soul will be filled, and your heart will be grateful with every bite, and every visit!
I highly recommend!!! I’ve already been telling everyone I know! Thank you for putting a big smile on my face and in...
Read moreDo yourselves a favor and avoid the horrible customer service experience at this place!! Las Rocas on Sloan Canyon in Castaic, CA., La Cocina on Seco Canyon in Saugus, CA., and Casa Lupita's on Parker Rd. in Castaic, CA., are much better than here!! After placing an order via Grub Hub, our order was delivered with no issues. The Grub Hub driver wad extremely nice and courteous. Thanks GH!! After our order arrived and was unpacked, we noticed that the $13.00 chicken quesadilla that we had ordered was only a partial quesadilla (1 triangle). We immediately called the restaurant back to let them know that a mistake must have occured and were told that after looking in the kitchen, the rest of the quesadilla could not be located and that they did not know what it was they could do to fix the situation but the manager would be told of the issue. We were then told that we must have ordered the kids quesadilla. (Receipt attached to the bag clearly showed Quesadilla, Pollo... The kids quesdailla was $7.00 but we were charged $13.00 for a partial quesadilla??.. Theres something fishy about this place and it isnt the food! Good luck with this place, but for amazing food and a customer service experience worth the stars (plural) , try one of the others that were...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I want to preface this post by stating that this restaurant has excellent Mexican food. I am not rating the restaurants food. This rating is for the Tamales I ordered and purchased on Christmas Eve. Now, I ordered tamales from here last year and they were absolutely delicious! I don't know if the ownership changed since then because these tamales were completely different. They were extremely dry and distasteful. They were so hard to chew that my jaw ached from having to break the masa down then having to wash it down with my beverage because it lodged in my throat!!! The meat although very dry, was flavorful but it did the tamale no justice. The tamale was half the size of the tamales I purchased last year which were prepared nicely in trays and not in grocery bags! They were also the most priciest tamales I have every purchased at $28 per dozen! I hosted Christmas this year and I was so upset that I could not even serve them to my guests and had to go to the Vallarta to buy tamales which were so moist, double the size and delicious at $22 per dozen. I hope the owner reads this message because I was extremely disappointed in these tamales that I will not order them again. Please use last years...
