I had such a great experience at Home Depot recently that I felt compelled to share it. I walked in with a rough idea for a home improvement project—something that involved building a custom shelving unit for my garage—but I wasn’t exactly sure what tools, materials, or even dimensions I’d need. From start to finish, the staff at Home Depot went above and beyond to turn my vague vision into a well-executed reality. I started in the tools section, clearly out of my depth, scanning drills and saws without a clue which one would suit my needs. Within minutes, a knowledgeable associate approached me—not with a pushy sales pitch, but with thoughtful questions. He asked what kind of material I’d be working with, how often I’d use the tool, and what level of experience I had. Based on that, he walked me through the differences between various models, explained corded vs. cordless options, and ultimately recommended a mid-range cordless circular saw that balanced power, price, and ease of use. What stood out was how patient and informed he was. He didn’t rush me, and he didn't talk down to me even when I asked very basic questions. He even gave me a few safety tips and pointed me to a couple of instructional videos on the Home Depot website for when I got home. Next, I headed to the lumber section to get materials for the shelves. I had measurements scribbled on a piece of paper, but I wasn’t entirely sure what kind of wood would be best. Again, another associate stepped right in, reviewed my plans, and recommended high-grade plywood for the shelving and pressure-treated lumber for the vertical supports since they’d be resting on a concrete garage floor. When it came time to get everything cut to size, the team at the cutting center was incredibly prompt. They had a bit of a line forming, but they moved efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. They double-checked each measurement with me and made clean, professional cuts that saved me a ton of time at home. They even labeled each piece so I wouldn’t get confused during assembly. After grabbing my lumber, I asked someone in the hardware aisle what kind of nails or screws I should use for this project. Without hesitation, a staff member helped me compare different fasteners and steered me toward deck screws, which offer great holding power and wouldn’t split the wood. He even made sure I had the right bit for my drill, which I had almost forgotten about. Finally, I made my way to the paint section. I needed something durable but wasn’t sure if I needed a primer or not. Once again, the associate here was incredibly helpful. She asked whether the shelves would be indoors or out, how much weight they'd hold, and what kind of finish I was going for. She recommended a high-durability enamel paint that didn’t require priming on the plywood I’d chosen. She even had a sample board handy to show me how the finish would look. Checkout was quick and easy. The cashier helped me sign up for a Pro Xtra account to get rewards and track my purchases for future reference. Outside in the loading area, an employee saw me struggling to get the longer boards into my vehicle and immediately came over to help. They even had some twine on hand to help secure the back gate of my SUV. What I expected to be a frustrating, multi-day ordeal turned into a single, surprisingly enjoyable shopping trip thanks to the incredible staff at Home Depot. Every step of the way, there was someone willing to listen, offer advice, and ensure I had exactly what I needed—not just to buy materials, but to actually complete my project successfully. It’s rare these days to find big-box stores where employees genuinely know their stuff and are happy to share it. Home Depot has earned my trust and my future business. I’ll definitely be back—and next time, I’ll bring clearer plans… maybe.

My complaint is indirectly at how Home Depot handles major appliances orders. Home Depot Newhall uses Temco for delivery in Valencia area. Temco is owned by GE. Temco hire independent contractors to do their installations. Independent contractors like..Bob's Appliance Repair. Yeah, you see where this is going. I've had a microwave installation issue with Temco. The first time they came, they told me they can't do it because of my tile backsplash. Okay, I trimmed it. They come around a second time and they tear up my box and tell me they can't install because the preexisting holes from my previous microwave made it unsafe to. They blamed Home Depot because Temco said it's their job to come out and measure compatibility, etc. I go to Home Depot store and they tell me I have to redo the cabinet part. It isn't going to be cheap and won't look the same because I have to redo the entire area. So my solution was to buy the exact microwave that was previously there. (I removed the previous one because I didn't like the color). So third time they came and try to install, they wouldn't install because the microwave isn't listed in their work order. Sigh. It became so much more complicated because Home Depot contracted Temco who then contracts to independent workers. Home Depot store wouldn't let me return because when they first came out, they "delivered." But, they didn't install so how am I supposed to know if anything is wrong with it? Home Depot''s return policy is 2 days for major appliances...the worst in the industry. Lowes is 30 days. Best Buy is 15 days. The employees at the store are nice for the most part.

The service is definitely the worst part of the whole experience. Everything was where it should be, but no one seemed to care if I found it. The departments that I needed were not departments with people in them if I needed paint, the paint person wasn't there. When I needed something from gardening, there was nobody in the entire department out on that floor. The best part is the fact that they have carts for kids with steering wheels in them.

We purchased an LG washer and dryer from this Home Depot store in November of 2017. Only about 8 months later, we noticed that the lettering was simply wiping off the control panel with hardly any pressure at all and no solvent, not even water.

When I first contacted Home Depot about it, since it was still under warranty, they asked me to deal with LG about it directly. That was a nightmare. LG's customer service people are in a foreign country. The personnel I talked to on very frustrating, long phone calls, were unable to think for themselves and kept using boiler plate excuses (clearly that they were given) to shift the problem back onto me.

The problem was nothing we did. The problem was a clear manufacturing defect. To make a long story short, other people have experienced this with LG products and have basically had to live with the defect because LG has cleverly labeled it "cosmetic". So-called cosmetic defects only have a 90 day warranty -- something you don't know until it happens.

LG wanted $225 for a service visit, plus the cost of the parts and then hourly labor. That would have meant spending about $500 to fix a $700 washer. It made no sense.

I told Home Depot that the problem was LG's, not mine and that I was not LG's customer, Home Depot was and I was Home Depot's customer. To give them credit, they shepherded a process of trying to get LG to rectify the situation at LG's expense.

It took two full months of wrangling with LG, but they finally agreed to replace the piece at no cost to either Home Depot or to me.

Home Depot even offered to give us a new washer at no cost when LG was refusing to help out. But, I told them that seemed unreasonable to me and I would never take advantage of Home Depot just to solve this problem. I am glad I held my ground.

The technician who came from LG, a direct LG employee locally based here in Santa Clarita was efficient and a no-nonsense professional. He did the work, replaced the part, and gave us some advice on maintaining the product, which he felt was a good one.

I truly appreciated that local technician, but would be reluctant to buy an LG appliance in the future (although I have several of them right now).

However, the conduct of the managers at Home Depot was exceptional and I am grateful for their attention and follow-through. That will keep us loyal customers...

As a construction proffesional Home Depot has been a great support for my business , a one stop shop. This review is for this specific location , run so smooth I had to Review: I recently had the pleasure of working with my local Home Depot, and I must say that the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. I am writing this review to express my utmost satisfaction with the current manager and the outstanding service provided by the Pro Desk team. From the moment I stepped into the store, I am greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by all.. Their knowledge, professionalism, and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly impressive. They went above and beyond to ensure that my needs as a contractor were met promptly and efficiently. The Pro Desk service at this Home Depot location was exceptional. The staff members were well-trained, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to assist me with my purchases.
