New ownership changes alot they took away options for different size bowl (I had to throw most of it away cause I couldnt finish) they ran out of ingredients by noon and it made me feel sick all night! I'm not sure what happened to the quality but I won't be returning again which saddens me cause this was the first poke I tried years back (I was even the one who originally added it to google maps to spread my joy) and I loved it for a long time, really sad to see how its declined.

Old review: My first poke spot I ever has and I fell in LOVE this place is always good and I like the size options. It can be a bit overwhelming trying it the first time cause of all the options so let me share my favorite: white rice, salmon/albacore, garlic ponzu, crabmeat, green onions, wasabi and ginger, garlic with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Also if you are a fan of Ginger try the lemonade I was afraid to try it for a while but it's a nice amount of sweet I really enjoy it! I’m a fairly regular customer here. It’s the best poke place in SCV IMO. But I’m giving a low score because the service consistently sucks. Most of the employees are not friendly. There have been times where I’ve gone in an hour after they opened and they had no salmon. Today I went in and the old Asian lady behind the counter, said she was only allowing two scoops of salmon per bowl. For some reason they were rationing. A normal bowl has three scoops of protein in my case I always get salmon. I didn’t want anything besides salmon, so I got the bowl with two scoops. When I asked her if she was charging less because the ball was incomplete, she said no.

I know they won’t read this nor do they care, but that’s really bad service and if they can’t fulfill the bowl as advertised, the cost should be discounted. It’s really that simple. They aren’t scanning any barcodes. They’re manually punching in to the cash register a price for the bowl so it should have been less than what they normally charge because they are unable to...

This was my first time here at the Poke place. I got in line and it was time to order my poke. The person who assisted me with fixing my bowl ask me which sauce and I have never tried the sauces and I'm picky about sauces. So I asked to sample the sauce. He appeared to not want to take the time to allow me try the sauces and then he did start me off with two sauces and then started helping someone else. He then got the sauce is confused as to which ones I was trying so I didn't like the first two then I try so he gave me another one and I just went with it because I knew he didn't want to take the time to let me try another sauce. The important thing about being in the customer service industry is taking the time to deal with your customer and make the customer not feel rushed.
