I'm a regular customer here, mostly visiting the dairy section and the bakery. Most of the staff are always very nice and polite. I’ve also had great experiences with the managers, particularly Armic, who is always friendly and helpful.
However, today I had a disappointing experience at checkout. The cashier, whose name was Arcelli (or something similar), displayed poor customer service. After finishing with her previous customer, she immediately started a conversation in Spanish with the cashier across from her, who had no customer. She didn't greet me, ask if I needed a bag, or acknowledge me in any way. Throughout the transaction, she continued her conversation, never informing me of my total. I simply inserted my card, paid, and received my receipt without any interaction. Even when she was no longer engaged in conversation, she didn’t thank me or wish me a good day. Attached is how exactly she handed me the receipt!
I believe it’s important to remind staff that customers are the reason businesses thrive. A simple "thank you" and respectful acknowledgment go a long way in ensuring a positive experience. It’s disappointing when basic customer service standards aren’t met.
That said, I want to express my appreciation to Armic. When I brought the issue to his attention, he was incredibly polite and immediately apologized. He even took the time to properly fold my receipt and hand it back to me, demonstrating the excellent customer service..
I hope this feedback helps in providing better training and reinforcing the importance of customer...
Read moreToday I got the bad experience at valley marketplace. I checked my grocery bill as usual when I was coming out from the store . And I saw they charged one bell pepper of $5. So I thought it was by mistake of the cashier. I went back in 1 minute said I you charged it wrong. I asked what is the price this bell pepper she said $2. I said you charged me $5. She was not accepting and blaming us that you guys did something wrong. Then she called her manager and then she said guys went to car then came back and said bell pepper price is high we need to return. then cashier said I need to check whole grocery one by one. I said okay. I was shocked when I saw every grocery item weighing is less than the weigh she charged us. So I was surprised because we never checked the weight of any item. It was an coincident of the bell pepper price. How can they say that in one minute I took out some of the grocery. Think about that then why I came back only for the bell pepper not for other veggies. Badly disappointed. I returned my whole grocery immediately. For their better service they should check their weighing scale and they need to train their cashier how to weigh the items and talk to...
Read moreAs a loyal customer, I have been shopping here for many years and have always appreciated both the quality of the produce and the consistently pleasant customer service. However, yesterday evening I had a very unpleasant experience with a cashier.
The employee, who was wearing deep purple lipstick with noticeable lip liner, mistakenly double-counted my grocery items in the system but did not correct the error. I politely reminded her to fix it, as it seemed like a simple oversight. I made sure to speak calmly and kindly, as I understood mistakes can happen.
To my surprise, instead of acknowledging or correcting the mistake, she began raising her voice at me, yelling that I was “worrying too much,” without offering any apology. Her attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, and it was noticeable to other customers as well.
As someone who has had many positive interactions with the staff and even the manager, this was the first time I experienced such poor treatment. I hope this matter can be addressed to ensure that other loyal customers do not encounter similar experiences. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more details about...
