I just went through one of the worst customer experiences to date at the Del Taco located on Via Princessa and Sierra Hwy, located inside of the Shell gas station. I approached the drive thru to place my order. I was assisted tonight, Sunday, June 15, 2025, between 9:10 pm and 9:28 pm, by a woman who appeared to be over 30 years of age.
She asked me if I was ready to order, I asked politely if she could give me one more second. Within less than 60 seconds I begin to confirm ready to place order.
I first asked her what type of burrito comes in her 9.00 box, she advised it comes with a hamburger when the image clearly showed shows a burrito. She then corrected herself and said it comes with a red bean and cheese burrito. I asked for extra onions to be added, she then said with a nasty tone that it doesn't come with onions. I said, "I know can you please add extra onions". She then got frustrated and started to rush me asking what do I want to drink. I advised a sprite light ice, and before I can say the next part of my order she had cut me off asking if that would be it.
I advised I have one more order to add, she started to rush me asking what could she get me. I advised a $7.00 box and before I could ask for her to add onions to my burrito on that order, again she cut me off rushing me to confirm what drink I wanted.
At that moment is when I asked her politely to please not cut me off while I was talking. I expressed it was unprofessional and not allowing me a chance to speak when I am the one placing the order.
The cashier got upset and repeatedly asked me what drink did I want, completely disregarding my concerns. Her unprofessionalism was so disturbing I canceled my entire order. There is no way I am spending my money at a place with horrible service.
It is absolutely disrespectful to mistreat good paying customers. It doesn't matter how much you don't like your job, you made the decision to work in the fast food industry. Do not take your emotions out on people because you don't know how to properly communicate with customers.
I know these employers are desperate for people but don't hire unprofessional people at the expense of your customers. It will put you out of business before it keeps you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I normally LOVE Del Taco. We eat at Del Taco restaurants 2 to 3 times a week. However; THIS Del Taco is just a mess. 60% of the time they get our order wrong. I also broke a molar of mine nearly in half eating one of their tacos about a year ago and they did nothing to compensate me at all. The drive through moves at a tortoise pace.š¢
Tonight was the last straw! š” Our order was 1 large fry, 2 spicy chicken burritos with chipotle sauce for $5 and 2 eight layer burritos for $5........ When my husband got home with our dinner the bag contained, 1 large fry (they got THAT right at least,š²) and 4 spicy chicken burritos; 2 with chipotle sauce. š² My hubby HATES chicken of any kind with a passion!!! So he didn't get dinner. He was so angry that he went to bed without eating! š I called there and complained to the manager in charge. His name is AndrĆ© and he was very polite and apologetic. He was going to talk with the employees there to let them know to watch the orders more carefully. I thanked him and I was pleased with his professionalism. I commend him for his diplomacy and polite manners. I think our trips to THIS particular Del Taco are over though. It's a shame too because it's the only one close to where we live. š

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually always go to this Del Taco since it's very close to my home. After working a long day I decided to get some tacos for dinner. The girl working the counter with a big bun on top of your head didn't really seem like she knew what she was doing not sure she was fairly new. She seemed confused when I ordered and asked me twice if I wanted it for here or to go. When I got it home just sit down and enjoy the refried beans were just a lump like they were that the bottom of the pan they were all crusty around the edges. The tacos were okay with the tortillas were hard they were burnt and they just made the tacos anyway. When they called my name and I picked up my order I looked inside I had no silverware no napkins and I didn't have chips I had to remind her that chips do come with the platter, she forgot the salsa I'm going to write this off as there were three people there and they were extremely busy since myself I am in the restaurant business. I enjoyed the value and the taste of the order that I ordered all the time when I go I will give it another try but tonight was...
