Starbucks — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

Attempted to load money into my Starbucks wallet, purchase a gift card and buy a drink. Try to do the math with me... Gift card: $25 + App reload: $10 + Venti Chai: $4.45.. my answer? $39.45 (not including tip).. the register/Barista's total? $59.65. Can anyone (whose taken Common Core Math obviously) explain this to me? When asked to explain it, he said "it looks weird but I swear it's correct." But still could not explain the total to me. (Also should note that I still had just under $4 in my app's wallet. ) When I finally started dumbing it down, he explained that the extra total was because I didn't have enough in total to cover my drink. I asked what was so special that the $13.83 in my Starbucks app wasn't enough to cover my chai tea? He was confused by this question. Mind you at this point, he had originally had everything rang up totalling the correct amount and when he charged my card the first time, he did it for $10. Then, immediately, refunded it back to my card as apparently he decided he wanted to add it all to my app's wallet instead to pay for it. NEVER AGAIN. Went with my 3 year old before we headed home and it was the worst experience I've had at a Starbucks ever. Normally really friendly but this time I ordered a tall water and asked for strawberry scoops in it. Since there are no kid drinks available this is my way of getting something for my daughter. When I got to the front they wanted 4.85 for her drink. EXCUSE ME? free water with .80c strawberry scoop and wanted to charge for a specialty tea. The girl knows she was in the wrong bc when I questioned it, the window attendant said it wasn't actually her who took the order. The one who did ran over to "explain". The reason she gave me was because it's "still their product". I don't mind at all paying for the strawberry scoop I got a regular drink for myself as well (which was made wrong asked for iced chai with matcha foam and got matcha on matcha.. gross) so I don't understand the hostility for just adding strawberry scoops in some water. Walked in because we were in a hurry and drive through line was long. Trainee got my order wrong. Ordered skinny iced Carmel macchiato got a iced Carmel frappuccino when I told them it was wrong Carmen was very rude and throwing herself around. My sons drink was given away at the drive through to someone else and by the time we got our correct drinks we had been standing there with our breakfast sandwiches getting cold. I asked to talk to the manager Nicole because of how Carmen had treated us so rudely and I explained that I understand mistakes happen but the way I was treated by Carmen was totally uncalled for. Then while I was talking to the Manager Carmen was behind the counter laughing. The Manager offered me a gift card which I said was nice but it won't make me fell any better about how I was treated by this Carmen chick. I walked in there happy and came home so upset that even though I have so much to do today I had to take the time to do a review because I am so upset.
