The grocery store is okay. I have no complaints. What I am concerned about are the ash trays that grace the front of the store, and the millions of employees that sit and smoke. I just moved here from Seattle for work, and was shocked to see no smoking rules in place whatsoever. The second hand smoke is out of control, it seeps inside the store, and in the parking lot. The employees of this store have no regard for anyone around them, and they light up whenever they want, giving no credence to the fact that this is a major health problem causing many deaths each year. Most people who have some consideration would walk away from the public. Not these employees! I do not know who is responsible for this, but whomever is the ash trays NEED TO BE REMOVED,!! and those who have to smoke should be smoking 20 feet away from the entrance of the building, the seating area, and the store. It is a disgusting experience to sit down and eat a sandwhich only to find yourself inhaling cigarette smoke, pot and that ridiculous vaping. STATER BROS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS NOW!!! if this is not your jurisdiction, then find out who is. Although I am shocked the store has allowed this to go on! SECOND HAND SMOKE KILLS!!!!!
I went to Stater Bros last night, and saw that the ash trays were removed. Bravo! However, I still saw people sitting down where the ash trays used to be, and SMOKING, leaving the butts on the floor. I also saw Stater Bros employees at the tables where people were eating, and smoking without any regard to others around them. There were tons of cigarette butts on the floor. Visit your tables and check the ground. There needs to be signs up telling everyone THERE IS NO SMOKING ON THE PREMISES. Also, how about also putting up signs that tell people to smoke 20 feet or more away from the building? Otherwise, this is going to be a continual problem. I commend Stater Bros for taking these necessary steps!
ONE YEAR LATER I went back to Stater Bros over one year after this post. I am visiting in town, and took my mother shopping. The smoking situation is worst than ever. The ash trays were not removed, but placed on the opposite side from where they were. So, the lazy Stater Bros employees now drop ashes and cigarette butts all over the ground, and tables and chairs. It is disgusting!!! Secondly, there is a no smoking sign near the front door, but it is so small you need a magnifying glass to see it. So the employees think they cannot smoke near the sign, but at the end of the building, which is still on the property. The correct law, which no one at this store cares about is 20 feet AWAY from the building. Matt the manager is pointless. He has done nothing since my last post, and shows that this is not his priority. I was sitting on one of the seats outside one afternoon earlier this week when an employee named Dawn just sat down and started smoking. She clearly had no regard for the people around her, and smoked more than 2 cigs in a row. I got up and walked away. Other repeat offenders are employees named Livia, and another older woman who work both work in the Deli. The man who works at the sushi bar also smokes around everyone, without any consideration, and a heavy set man (wears a white shirt) also smokes near the building I do not remember seeing him the last time I was at Stater Bros, so he may be a new employee. It is time for their corporate office to step in, as I honestly do not think the store manager cares much about this. Second hand smoke is killing nonsmokers every day. Do your research if you do not believe me!! This store is now filthy outside where at one point it was a nice place to sit, eat, and gather. Corporate Office - DO SOMETHING!! This...

After shopping at Stater Bros for a while I've noticed that there are quite a few ālow priceā items that are exceptional everyday prices. Their canned tomato products are a great value, as are their canned Chiles and Jalapenos. They have dried beans at a very good price. And a very nice selection of Asian food items, with a great price for Ramune.
Overall I've found I get such great value from buying ālow priceā items, I often don't need to buy many sale items at all. This is a resource I'll continue to use as long as it exists.

I came back to Stater Bros. because I like the fact that I don't need a rewards card to benefit from store sales. The only time you need to use your store account is when you want to take advantage of digital coupons.
I've been using a lot of Stater Bros. store brand products lately. And, I've found them to be of excellent quality. Their Unbleached All Purpose Flour is priced to bake, I buy it all the time. In the Meat Department the weekly sale prices are fantastic. I've been buying a lot of meat here, all because of awesome sale prices. My Mom really likes their thin cut Pork Chops. And, this is the only place I know of where I can get Pork Hocks for my Split Pea Soup.
At checkout Luc was the cashier. He was a very pleasant fellow, and was very helpful, and patient when interacting with my mom. Which I found to be quite impressive.

I've wanted to check out Stater Bros. for years, but never got around to it. Well, I finally made it. From the outside it looks like a nice, unassuming store. But, as you enter there's a Sushi Bar right at the front entrance. And, HUMANS actually operate it. They have a menu board with quite a few options. There's also a Bakery counter where you can get decorated cakes. Like most grocery stores these days, you can find lots of quick pick foods & drinks that look delicious. At the Meat Counter there are lots of busy butchers ready to help you with your meat order. The meat looks good, and the sale prices are great. I picked up a Boneless Beef Chunk Roast. The aisles in the store are neat, and the floors are clean. They have someone sweeping the floors. Nice!
This was my first trip to Stater Bros., so there was a lot to take in. One thing I noticed was that their store brand tends to be very reasonable priced, and when it's labeled āEveryday Low Pricesā the price can be outstanding. Their price for Unbleached All Purpose Flour is one of the best I've seen locally. Another example is their Tomato Paste, the price is fantastic. As for quality, I've tried their All Purpose Flour, Sliced Cheese, and Ice Cream. Everything that I tried has been of very good quality, and I would definitely repurchase all of them.
Check out was fast and easy. The bagger did a nice job of bagging my groceries, which I appreciate. Also, I noticed the bags are different than other stores. I like the design, they are strong and easy to handle. I will be back again, they have great prices on many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to love this location and it was my favorite grocery to shop at for years. Today changed all of that. My cashier, an older women I've recognized working there for a long time, short dark hair, glasses, red bow tie, I believe, had given me so much attitude while ringing my items up. My mom, another frequent shopper noticed she is rude to her too and only seems to be friendly with male customers. My mom's boyfriend gets greeted with a smile while she gets greeted with a frown. The Stater Bros rewards would be great if I could actually use them. The same woman switched the screen while I was inputting my number in. I am all for treating minimum wage, retail, food workers with upmost respect. I know these are physically taxing jobs that take a lot of lifting, standing and dealing with difficult customers sometimes, but I was courteous and in return was made to feel slow, stupid and disrespected while I rushed to set my items on the conveyor belt. On the way out to the exit, bagged groceries in cart and receipt in hand I noticed the security guard chatting it up with a customer blocking the exit. As to not be rude and interrupt their conversation I walked the other door beside it clearly labeled "EXIT" not thinking anything of it then banged my shin extremely hard on the metal of my cart. My cart locked up as I was trying to exit and I rammed into it. This has never happened before. It took me completely off guard. All the security gaurd at the door could say was "you get hurt?" All I can think is there was some mechanism in place that the security guard shouldve caught and stopped before I got hurt or I was supposed to only go through the exit blocked by a customer. Maybe dont allow customers to stop and chat at your exits, put a sign up to not use the other exit door, or warn people of the shoplifting preventing mechanism because what type of message do you think this sends to a loyal paying customer of yours? I feel...
