The Bearded Lady Pub — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

We rolled into the parking lot to get a glimpse of the pub. It appeared to be closing. Nevertheless we got out of the car and asked the server if we were too late. She was disinfecting the tables and chairs on the patio. She told us that they were indeed closing. I asked if we could order take out and do they serve fish and chips. She replied that not only did they make fish and chips they made the best fish and chips in town. She asked the cook if he could take our order. He hadn't cleaned the fryer yet so we were in business. While the restaurant was closed the server allowed us to dine in the patio and even brought us a couple of sodas on the house.

The fish and chips lived up to her claim and I have to say they were the best I've ever had (I am an old man and have eaten a lot of fish and chips). The chef knows the secret to seasoning the fish before battering. He also knows how to fry the fish so that the batter is crispy and the fish perfectly done with no gooey layer between the batter and the fish.

Superb service, superb fish and chips. What more could I want! Don't take my word for it. Go and see...

Delicious! The Mystical Mermaid cocktail was beautiful and tastely dangerous! They have a full bar, many beers on tap, and I can't wait to try all their signature cocktails... they don't have a drink menu yet...but it's coming. Oh and the Peanut Butter Cup shot-- incredible! The Philly Cheese Steak sandwich on a tender pretzel bun was amazing. My husband had their signature fish and chips with a black pepper beer batter. Visually the pepper may seem like a lot, but taste wise...its mild and perfect. The tartar sauce is housemade. Yum. The fried pickles were perfectly breaded and crispy. The dill ranch was delicious! The inside has a classy modern carnival vibe. The server was professional, attentive, passionate!...

Menue with pricing is available on there website. The atmosphere is nice and our waitress was very friendly, informative & attentive. I had the Big Top Burger and Circus Fries. The burger was juicy, cooked perfectly and a pretty good size. The fries were good as well. This was split between two people and we both walked away pleasantly full. I will be back at some point to try some of the other things on the menue that looked pretty good as well. This place is new and I think it's got a great shoot...
