I am currently enrolled at Charter College in the Medical Assistant program. This is a great school to attend, they really care about your future and what it takes to make it out into a successful career. Ms. Garcia and Mr. Pine are the lead Medical assistant teachers and they are great. They explain everything thoroughly and will answer any questions you have. They will help you with whatever you need and are very hands on in the lab and will teach you the right techniques to giving injections, drawing blood, Urine dips, etc. Not only does this school have a medical assistant program but they also have a dental assistant program. Ms. Lindsey is the lead Dental assistant teacher and she is great as well. Mr.Burton is the student success teacher and he will guide you into the right direction about what you want to do and where you want to be with your life. Nicole is our campus president and she is the best, she is very attentive to each and every student and is there for whatever help you need. I decided to join Charter College when I was tired of working short-term jobs that did not challenge me in any way. I wanted to start working towards a career and I took the route many would. I started taking classes at COC only to find myself falling behind because I couldn't keep up with the instructors. I spent my time with tutors and constantly asking my teachers for help but they were lacking the drive to help me. This made me feel helpless and even stupid. I started looking into Charter because my sister had graduated from their pharmacy tech program and started working right away. I joined Charter's dental assisting program last year March 2018 and today I am working at a private office in SCV. I highly recommend their dental assisting program they provide a excellent learning environment and help you each step of the way. I decided to attend to this school because they offered a VN program,and the campus was close to me , due to lack of director of nursing the school decided to close down this program.. my classmates and I were told that all the work and credits we did were gonna be transferable to other schools.. I decided to apply to some of the schools from a list that they gave us which some of them were like 1-2 hrs away and some other ones just didn't take the credits I did at charter because it wasn't a credited school.. anyway I tried to contact the lady or the president or w.e but I was denied her number so I tried to talk to the campus manager but she was never available or she would keep me waiting for her a long time or she would never respond to my calls I just wanted to talked about the issue but no response was given to me.. meanwhile they DID take thousands from my classmates and I which btw I still have to pay.. long story short don't attend to...
