D20 Pizza — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

This place was hands down some of the best fricken pizza I’ve had in Santa Cruz. We recently went to Bookies for the first time and had an ok experience over there, but after having “The Detroit” here I can say that Bookies is sub par compared to this place. First of all it’s a little cheaper, I mean ur not really gonna get a lot of really quality pizza in Santa Cruz for under 20 bucks, but for the ingredients, flavor, and execution this place really hits.

Dough is amazing, it’s like a quality focaccia dough almost. Beautiful crust, airy and crispy, flavor is great.

Sauce gotta be homemade cause man it is some of the best sauce on a pizza I’ve ever had. They don’t play here.

Cheese and toppings are all quality, you can tell they really thought about their flavors and technique, cause everything went together really well.

All in all this place needs WAY more recognition. Please visit. They are still working on finishing the restaurant, but the food is still damn good and you should...

OMFG if you're reading this, do yourself a favor and try it out for yourself. I was skeptical of this unassuming new place with fairly high prices and small pizzas. But I'm really glad I took the risk because this was the best tasting pizza I've ever had in my life! I had the one with cherry tomatoes and corn on it. Short form: a little pricy, but very good, and worth it if you dine in! This place's vibes are immaculate: a wide open room with board games aplenty, excellent staff, and a convenient location with plentiful parking. I got the mushroom pizza to share with my girlfriend, and it was extremely filling! We took it to go, which turned out to be my only regret. To take advantage of their awesome space is to appreciate the full experience. So we'll absolutely be back to dine in and play some games...
