If you like Poke this place is a MUST visit. Took me a long time to give it a shot, buy I regret waiting so long. The first time you go the ordering system will be a bit confusing, but they have white boards that kind of explain FAQs. It was cheap compared to everywhere else in Santa Cruz, for $4-5 cheaper than a Poke bowl at Pono you get 3x as much fish, and tons of toppings, and a fraction of the wait. They came out only a few minutes after we ordered, we got them to eat there but they do Togo orders too. I got Spicy Tuna and Salmon with a handful or toppings and it was delicious, and I left stuffed and happy for less than $15. Looking forward to going back asap and trying more toppings, sauces and fish. My only concern is that it was really dead for a weekend at noon, I hope they stay around because this will probably be atleast a weekly...

This place is a four star place, but it’s such a good deal that it gets the bump. Poke bowls for $12! In this economy! While “value” meals at every fast food joint are more than $10, this is real food that tastes good for around the same price. The value is wild.

We rolled in pretty late and needed dinner, so we gave The Poki Bowl a try. So glad we did. It was a no fuss order on their website and very quick service. Maybe it was quick because they were 30 minutes from closing when we ordered, but it was fast.

The bowls are pretty big too. And the choices are nice. I wouldn’t compare this to poke in Hawaii as that’s probably unfair, but their fish and sauces were respectable. There are tons of toppings and sides you can add to your bowl too, and while some have an extra charge, the amount of avocado we got made it seem like...

My daughter and I were staying in nearby Aptos for a presentation she was giving the next morning. After a day of driving we were hungry for a big brimming bowl of poke. We definitely found that at the aptly named The Poki Bowl. Fresh ingredients, generously portioned, and at a very reasonable price. We both opted for “medium” bowls which included a choice of 3 proteins and all the sides and sauces you want. But, the best part were the owners who were very friendly and welcoming. They even offered us each a free bowl of miso soup while we waited for our meals to be prepared … which was excellent, btw. Our poke bowls were not only massive, but delicious, too. The only problem with this place is that it’s not closer to where we live. But, the next time we’re in Santa Cruz, we’ll definitely be eating...

Very nice lady running the place/working here. Good portions and fresh ingredients. I am giving 4 stars because the rice was very hot, so hot I was worried it would cook the fish. It should be room temp or a little warm but not hot. I also prefer seasoned rice (sushi)but she uses just plain. Finally, and this is my fault, I got too much poke sauce, the "spicy Japanese kimchee sauce" is really just a Korean sauce. Next time I would just use a little ponzu and soy sauce on the side so I can taste the fish and veggies more. She gave us extra rice for free, very nice. The large is enough for two people or save half for later. The spicy scallops were a little fishy smelling but tasted fine.
