One Double Oh Seven Club — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

Let me start off by saying that if you have issues with a legal smoking bar that sells cigars and cigarettes, Why would you go there and complain about it later? I've been frequenting the "Double Oh Seven" for over a decade now, and it is my favorite bar in town. Yes the drinks are a bit more expensive, Yes people are smoking there, Yes there is a ghetto ATM and Yes sometimes there are a lot of "kids". That stated, They offer many flat screen TV's for whatever you want to watch, free "old skool" shuffleboard, free video trivia, free steel tipped darts, two pin ball machines, a golf video game, two bar top video games, a jukebox, three pool tables, two video dart boards, a full selection of booze, a very safe environment, an eclectic friendly mix of mostly locals and tourists, And most importantly, The finest, funniest non-snooty bar staff in the County. So yeah, There's a reason this has been my home bar for almost eleven...

I don’t recommend going here if you’re a woman, or if your a person looking for good vibes. One of the guys who works there pulled my friends hair without consent and got too close for comfort to my partner trying to graze her. He’s either a bar back or a bartender couldn’t tell. We confronted him and in doing so he tried to gaslight them saying “I do this to girls all the time and usually no one has a problem with it”. Tried telling him the best thing to do was to ask for consent when touching anyone, especially literal strangers, and he wouldn’t have it. He told them to “Shut your mouth, I’m sorry. Here’s a free drink”. He admitted he was going to continue this inappropriate behavior and that he just would never touch the 2 of them again. He definitely won’t be, because we won’t be...

Awful. My jacket was stolen moments after arriving. The bar closed early just after I’d purchased our drinks. The bartender I’d purchased our drinks from minutes earlier came and took our full drinks from our table, and tried to walk away. Thankfully, a local took pity on us and called the bartender by name, because he ignored us. When he gave us back our drinks he palmed them and set them down at the opposite end of the table, with a huff and no acknowledgement.
