York Framing Gallery — Attraction in Santa Cruz

I’ve been meaning to leave a review for a long time, so here I am! I’m an interior designer and I have had art framed at York for myself and for clients. The pieces always turn out stunning and flawless.

When I went in a few months ago with an emergency frame for one of my clients, the two women who helped me went above and beyond to make it work and help us out in a pinch. The whole time they were in good spirits, full of humor and knowledge. It feels so nice to enter a local establishment where the people truly want to help and have deep knowledge. It feels more and more rare these days. But it brought me back to a better time going into York!

Just before Christmas I was making 14 frames myself, but I had no idea what I was getting into with trying to do the glass and matting all by myself. I called York to order materials and they were extremely helpful in expediting the materials I needed - 2 large sheets of glass. They even ended up cutting matt for me and teaching me how to effectively cut the glass and the matting in the future. Even in the busiest time of year for them, they were patient with me and treated me as an important customer whom they went the extra mile to assist and make time for. I came into this shop because of its stellar reviews and have been delighted on both visits. Both times I had something to hang on the wall that I wanted something special to enhance the piece (usually just frame my own at home with ready-made frames).

Especially love the collaborative nature of the staff there. I usually come in with some idea of what I am looking for, but in each case, they made suggestions that made it look even better.
