Tender Fire — Restaurant in Santa Fe

We ordered at 5:30 pm got our pizzas at 7:15pm after being told that our order would be ready at 6:45. Went to check in at 6:45pm and they said they were JUST making our pizza also they said to give it another 10 min (We ordered 3 pizzas, 1 margarita, 1 pepperoni & 1 sausage.) My partner who ordered the sausage just threw up whole sausage and red onion (1:50 am) and spent $71.76 on three pizzas that were under cooked and could’ve caused salmonella poisoning. I ordered the margarita pizza and just the top of the cheese was melted, the rest was whole. Very disappointing pizza and would not recommend if you’re wanting to enjoy with friends. You’re better off ordering Il Vicino and having a salad as you wait for your food. It was a JOKE to wait for almost 2 hours

Driving up to Aspen Vista Picnic Ground on the morning of 10/6 and we were waiting while a car backed out and as car is reversing, these inconsiderate people in a Tender Fire mobile pizza kitchen trailer zoom past, both in a no passing zone and nearly hitting folks that were backing out, all to get a hundred feet or so ahead because apparently they were in that much of a rush to set up. They blocked in cars, didn’t see a permit displayed, took over a large portion of the parking are right in front of the trailhead, so when we finished our hike we then had to weave through a line. I feel like they could have handled this better and more safely in so many ways and in that moment they were really very clearly only thinking of themselves. ...

We have of course had Tender Fire’s delicious pizza out and about in town (we are debatably even more obsessed with their market salads than even the amazing pizza), but my husband and I were lucky enough to hire them to cater our wedding up at Hyde Park Lodge! They were incredible, all of our guests raved about the pizza and salad, plus Ben and his team were wonderful to work with as a vendor in the chaos that is a diy-wedding day with no on-site kitchen. Ben was very responsive and helpful leading up to the event, answering all of our questions as we prepared for the day. We couldn’t imagine having worked with any other caterer for our wedding and we would absolutely recommend working with Tender Fire for any private events!
