Read moreBluey's Kitchen was suggested by a friend of mine, who discovered its existence via Foursquare. Located in Santa Monica, it was within a moderate distance from downtown LA. Was it worth the drive? Yes. Blueys Kitchen is an Australian fusion venue featuring menu items inspired by the desert regions of Australia. Classified as a breakfast/brunch venue, we chose to visit for brunch & spent a great deal of time on the canopied patio. With that being said, Bluey's Kitchen seating availability is contained to an outdoor canopied patio area. (Ask for another serving of syrup and skip the sweetened avocado). Oh and did I say I’m gluten free? The GF items were thoughtful and intentional…not your average consolation prize plate that they offer at so many places.
As we were finishing up, a line had formed and people were waiting for a place to sit. We offered the people hovering over us if they’d like to join us, but they declined. (Maybe it’s not that...
