The Blueys in Santa Monica is a casual place to meet up with friends or colleagues for coffee, breakfast, or lunch. With primarily covered outdoor seating in the parking lot, there’s usually plenty of tables available. Make sure to clearly read the signs in the parking lot and on the streets. The downside is that they don’t have WiFi. If you’re sensitive to caffeine maybe order something beside a the latte so that you don’t get jittery. The 12oz latte is $5, +$1 for oat milk. I love their for here mug and saucers. The food is high quality and great portion sizes, and they bring it to your table. For food, the Blueys Breakfast Plate gives you a little bit of everything for $16. Two eggs your way (I went with scrambled), bacon (you can swap this out for a vegetarian substitute), heirloom tomatoes, sautéed Tabasco kale and mushrooms, and fresh avocado (small) served with country toast. For only $1 extra, they let you swap out gluten free bread for the regular bread.

A cute little hidden spot for a nice breakfast/brunch. There is parking in the front, but I’m never sure if we are really allowed to use it. Here you need to get in line to order your food and they will bring it to you after. The place can be crowded and you could wait some time, but there is a lot of space to sit around. It is very chill. There are a lot of options to choose from. I’ve tried a few things. This time, we got the Fried Egg Sandwich and the Bluey’s Burger. The sandwich is good with its sauce but gets very messy so just be prepared. Their fries are good. I have never tried the burger but was told it is good. I have tried their peanut butter shake, which I really enjoyed! Overall, the food is enjoyable and you get to sit outside. So, I would recommend this place for the overall experience and chill vibe.

If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience with a unique blend of Southern charm and California flair, look no further than Bluesy's in Santa Monica.

From the moment you walk through the door, you'll be transported to a cozy Southern kitchen with its rustic decor, friendly staff, and bluesy tunes playing in the background. The menu offers a mouth-watering selection of classic Southern dishes with a modern twist, all made with the freshest ingredients and a touch of California flavor.

The fried chicken is a must-try, with its perfectly crispy coating and juicy, tender meat. The mac and cheese is also a crowd-pleaser, with a rich, creamy sauce and just the right amount of gooey cheese. And don't forget to indulge in their homemade desserts, like the warm apple cobbler or the decadent chocolate cake.

The drinks at Bluesy's are also worth raving about. Their signature cocktails are creative and delicious, and their wine list is impressive, with a variety of options that perfectly complement the food.

But what really sets Bluesy's apart is the exceptional service. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, making sure you have a memorable dining experience from start to finish.

Overall, Bluesy's in Santa Monica is a gem that should not be missed. Whether you're a fan of Southern food or just looking for a great meal in a cozy atmosphere, Bluesy's is the perfect spot. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go...

Bluey's Kitchen was suggested by a friend of mine, who discovered its existence via Foursquare. Located in Santa Monica, it was within a moderate distance from downtown LA. Was it worth the drive? Yes. Blueys Kitchen is an Australian fusion venue featuring menu items inspired by the desert regions of Australia. Classified as a breakfast/brunch venue, we chose to visit for brunch & spent a great deal of time on the canopied patio. With that being said, Bluey's Kitchen seating availability is contained to an outdoor canopied patio area. Guests must place order indoors, which contains a single dining table, drinks case & fresh-cafe items available to-go. Decor, as well as menu items are a beautifully blended Australian/Californian fusion. Bungalow design concept with comfortable accommodations. Menu items served at Blueys were both high in quality & contained fresh ingredients. Are you visiting with a special dietary preference? Vegetarians, Vegans & others with alternative dietary needs dine with ease. We opted for avocado toasts with fresh radishes- paired with a super-smoothie that was both satisfying and light. High price point, with a fair value to price point ratio. Simply put, expect to pay a moderately high premium for quality of menu items & location. 4/5- limited seating, single-restroom, quality of ingredients used,...

This was a surprise Gem! Brief & thoughtful menu with gluten free options for me.

The space is a little industrial looking, but I guess that’s cool these days?

It was a little busy, but it only took a few minutes for I find parking, which was free, and we didn’t wait long to order at the counter or for our food to be delivered to our table.

The seating picnic tables outside, which was perfect in a sunny LA day. The table was pretty dirty. Nobody came to clean, so we got napkins and cleaned it ourselves.

Everything we ordered was good. They managed to make the cauliflower rice in the grain bowl delicious. The gluten free squash pancakes were heaven. (Ask for another serving of syrup and skip the sweetened avocado). Oh and did I say I’m gluten free? The GF items were thoughtful and intentional…not your average consolation prize plate that they offer at so many places.

As we were finishing up, a line had formed and people were waiting for a place to sit. We offered the people hovering over us if they’d like to join us, but they declined. (Maybe it’s not that...
