Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Santa Monica

I absolutely love Habit, it is defenetly one of the best fast food chain in the US. The classic char burgers are great! I always get them and Habit never disappoints me, so in this restaurant char burgers were absolutely delicious. The beef patties were so juicy and tender. I really love the texture of the beef, is very nicely cooked. All ingredients are well balanced and I can feel that the quality is great. It tastes very fresh. Sauce is amazing. The cheese inside burger is also really good. The fries in Habit is always good but today it was a bit overfried, but the good thing it made it very crispy and I kinda liked it. What I also like about burgers is the size of them. They are not small and not very big. I always get double char and with fries it gets me full even when I was very hungry. The restaurant itself looks good inside, very clean, and I really like the vibe. The are two restrooms, and they are clean. Also, they have electronic displays with what you can order the food. I like it because you can take your time thinking what you want and also it allows you customize your order the way you want. Not every location has these screens. There is also a nice area for outdoor dining which looks great. The stuff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant has plenty of tables. I went in during dinner time and there were mane free tables. So excited to have a Habit Burger Grill on the Westside now. Tonight we ordered from the Santa Monica location for the first time and were truly impressed with the service. I ordered online and our order was ready in 8 minutes and 42 seconds! Unbelievable. We ordered for curbside pickup due to covid 19 and thr staff was amazing. We were greeted outside by name our order was packaged sitting on a tray. The staff member had full PPE on as did we. This could not have been more amazing given how we have been sheltering in place and having something fun for dinner (and not having to cook) was a welcome break. The Char Burger was delicious as usual. The Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich was crisp with a great balance of spice and not greasy. The garlic fries were served with sauce on the side to prevent mushy fries to go. As always the half fries and onion rings were delicious 😋. Somehow to habit can serve amazing fresh charred burgers for less than McDonald's. The trip tip and tri tips salads are always a favorite but tonight was fun to have share two different sandwiches. We were stuffed and couldn't even finish everything. It's no wonder the habit has been bringing Socal great burgers and more since 1969. Let me start with saying, I absolutely Love the Habit, and it kills me to write this. I’ve been eating the habit at various locations since early childhood, from the original location in SB to locations in UT. The reason for my review today is that without fail the Westwood location has NEVER gotten my order correct. I was staying in LA because my girlfriend had been in the hospital at UCLA and this is the closest location. First 2x I ordered online via the app, both times mixed up my order and missing ingredients. Next 2x was through the DoorDash app, again two burgers and two onion rings… mixed up and missing ingredients. At least I got my onion rings.

I figured maybe it’s a problem with the apps, so I decide to go in and order takeout. Be damned I should’ve checked the burgers before I left because AGAIN both wrong. All I’m ordering are simple plain cheese burgers, one with bacon the other no lettuce or tomatoes. Now because I still love the Habit Burger I try to deny the past and give this location another chance. To my mistake I ordered via the Habit official app… Burgers were backwards, rings missing ranch, and dripping with lard… must’ve forgotten what CharBroiled means here.

Again. I love the Habit, but Westwood location is absolute trash.
