They made us wait 45 minutes outside in the cold for our food while they prioritized to go orders. The waitress would walk past us walking down the street to deliver to go orders on trays to businesses down the street. This happened at least 8 times. For the wait, the food was marginal. The wait staff was friendly until we said we wanted to pay for our beverages and leave. At this point, two burritos we're delivered to the table and the rest of the meal was delivered one plate at a time. Once the two last entrees were delivered to the table. The first three served, we're finished eating. The quesadilla, for my youngest child was delivered last. This establishment does not value dine in( patio dining due to Covid) customers or visitors new to the area. I could excuse all of this if the restaurant was full but we were the only patrons, a family of 5, waiting on the cold patio. Came in close to closing time (my bad!), but they were happy to seat us & didn't make us feel rushed. (HUGE thing if you've ever worked in service, that's extremely kind.) The server was kind & helpful.
The food was fresh, delicious, & plated beautifully! The kitchen was fast & the plates are big enough for multiple meals.
Proximity to the coast meant that the seafood menu was extensive. Everything was very fresh, generously portioned, & delicious. Lots of options for vegetarians & vegan tweaks seem like something the kitchen would happily accommodate.
The vibe is laid-back & homey, there were a few families enjoying their evening on the night we visited, definitely seems like a local favorite. Exterior has a stunning Frida Kahlo portrait 😍
Walking distance from the Santa Paula Inn, so weary travelers can pop right over.

Read moreI went with the family for dinner and ordered tacos and 1 shrimp plate. Tacos rolled out 30min. Later and they had trouble finishing the plates, which was odd since the plates seem very manageable to finish. My shrimp plate didn't arrive to the table roughly an hour and a half later, it was good but the wait really made it difficult to give this much praise. If your going to eat here, go for the breakfast, but for dinner just try to keep it simple, and make sure you have plenty of room for alcohol, this should keep you busy for the time being until your...
