WaBa Grill — Restaurant in Santa Paula

1st time visitor. My wife and I stopped in for lunch; we knew it had recently opened and wanted to try it out (we'd never been to a Waba Grill.) First impression was good. It's new so everything was clean. Parking lot was clean although a little confusing as you turn off the street (there's a ton of parking in the rear.) We ordered our meals and waited for them to be prepared. My wife ordered the chicken vegetable bowl and I ordered the Waba rice bowl. They got my order wrong - they gave me a Waba vegetable instead. No big deal, it came with veggies. One thing I wasn't a fan of was the sauce they drizzle on the food. It's a soy sauce glaze and I'm not a big soy sauce fan - they should ask if you want it on the food or as a side. My wife noticed that the only utensils they had were plastic forks but that the veggies eere big enough where she would have like a fork to cut them up. Waba Grill is a great healthy option if you're looking for something fast. All meals are made to order, but the kitchen was very efficient in completing our order. I'm giving this a four star review simply because it wasn't entirely clean when I visited and that doesn't make a great first impression. However, I have no doubt that as they get more employees and the business starts to pick up that won't be a problem anymore. Staff was a little off when I went to order I would like to think it was a new employee. Trying to sell me the teriyaki sauce and Sriracha in a small cup instead of giving me the ones they have in little packets that are free. 🤦‍♀️

I also upgraded to the salad and fruit and it's not worth it. DON'T DO IT! All they added was green salad which was bitter and half a orange that looked like it was cut the day before and I had to throw away.

My husband got the veggies and they were a little hard but they were better...
