Johnny McTighes is a real hidden gem on 30A. It's discrete location had me skeptical, but the food is exceptional. Firstly, I can say they have the best Lobster Bisque I've ever had, which is funny since it doesn't quite fit the cuisine profile of an Irish Pub. The bisque is balanced with creaminess, perfect blend of spices, and morsels of tender lobster throughout THE WHOLE BOWL. I've had smaller bowls of more expensive bisque in steakhouse and fine seafood restaurants, but I would go out of my way to have this every time. Furthermore, we tried the reuben and the Philly cheesesteak. Reuben was hearty and had all the staples of the traditional Irish delicacy. Juicy, tender, and rich. Highly recommended. The Philly was also great and rivals what you might find in a dedicated cheesesteak shop. Tater tots were crispy and the beer-battered onion rings were also sweet and served with a sweet, creamy bbq sauce. The only drawback is that, while they have a dining room, the bar gets the most attention. Our server was very sweet and we were understanding of the wait as she navigated bringing food out to both the bar and the dining room. Overall, my advice is to not sleep on this place. Perhaps try it out for lunch or an early dinner if you don't want to wait too long. No matter what though, I guarantee it is worth the wait.

My Dad and I were regulars at the first incarnation of this pub in Atlanta, it was sort-of a mellow mushroom but had its own personality. Always an amazing place to get dinner, we started getting pizza and wings there weekly when I was a little kid in elementary school! We were disappointed when Jac moved in 2008, but recently found it reborn here on the FL coast with the same amazing food and comfortable atmosphere! This place fits like an old pair of your favorite jeans. The Steelers country decor, the dobermans, the 90s Atlanta memorabilia, it feels right at home. Wings are HUGE and the pizza tastes the same as 20+ years ago. Top notch!

This is my favorite lunch spot in the world. I eat lunch here 2-3 time a week. It’s a locals hangout and not known to most tourists (shhh!) The food is excellent and the beer is cold. The staff is awesome, lovingly rude in the best kind of way, to give you that authentic hole-in-the-wall Irish pub feel. I highly recommend eating here, although I really hope you don’t...

Mistake number one: Being fooled into walking into this dump. Dark, dank, sticky. Our first drink was delivered fairly quickly. Good for you. Get us lubed up before ignoring and berating us. There is not a zero star rating, so I had to at least give them 1 star. As stated by numerous other reviewers, the service is not only poor, it is insulting. We had 6 adults and 4 kids, and explained that we wanted the kids food to come out first. 45 minutes later, we asked where our food/server/refills were. "Let me get that for you (roll your eyes)". At the one hour mark, we were a little more insistent. Mistake number two: Asking when our food would be coming out seemed to upset our server. We were told that we ordered challenging dishes, so we should expect sub-par service. Overall, I guess it really was our fault. Why should we expect such exquisite fried bar food to take less than an hour to prepare. Freezer ... to fryer ... to floor (oops) ... to plate ... (wait, wait, wait) ... walk plate of fried mac and cheese and 10 fries to table. We should expect this, especially since we made it so difficult on them by asking for our food to come out at two different times. Shouldn't that make it easier? Third and fatal mistake: Paying for our drinks (which is the only part that was not a disappointment). We spoke with the manager/bartender right before we left, and it was obvious that all they wanted was our money. In fact, having to stop what they were doing to address our issue was a burden on them. Not sure anyone was actually doing anything else from what we could tell. The place was not even 1/3 full (maybe 25 people in there total??). In a situation like this, I never think twice about walking out without paying for anything. The drinks are a gift for wasting an hour and a half of our time. The excuse from the manager/bartender: "There was a big take out order that came in right when you did". To that I say: Thanks for the effort, but not my problem. Manage your restaurant, don't make excuses. By the way miss manager, there was another group of 10 that came in 10 minutes after us ... they got their food just before we walked out. Don't care, just saying.

Periodically, restaurant owners write responses to poor reviews offering some type of apology, or peace offering to save face. Pretty sure I won't see anything...

Very disappointed! Been coming to this pub for 9 years now on our family's Ky vacation. Waiter was not happy to be at work. Was not friendly at all. I am not a complainer at all it takes a lot to make me upset and he was rude and aggrivated we showed up for a party of 11. We ordered appetizers and our dinner order 1hr and 20 minutes later we asked our pretzels and he said he put in with order because they were so backed up with outside orders. Then finally we all had to ask for refills but I would think the tipping done in customers would come first, which they add 18% automatically to your bill. But our pizzas finally came out and they were burnt along with our appetizers at the same time were burnt and when we mentioned it the girl from the back she was so rude and snobby. The pizza was all burnt crust u literally ate 2 bites of your pizza and that was it. Then when I reminded the waiter he forgot and item and told him just take it off our order, he was shocked and it was a reminder he forgot something. He comes out and pretty much slams the plate down with the item that was missing. I am very disappointed In The actions of workers. Their attitudes were the worst and no apologizes at all. I will say me and my family have spent thousands of dollars and I think he 9-10 times me and my kids have been there doesn't include the times that the men in my family didn't go to beach or activities and spent a lot of money in this pub just drinking and watching sports. Our family will not be back and will not ever recommend this place to anyone. We literally have spent lots of money in a place who treats people like garbage. I am so upset. Very poor rating from our family...... major upset!!!! If I could post the pictures of our...

We are locals and had a terrible experience with a bartender named Lexi. We had an incredibly disappointing experience here. From the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. Despite being in our mid-20s, the bartender immediately asked for our IDs in a rude and accusatory tone, as though we were underage. To make matters worse, she raised her voice at us, which was entirely uncalled for. After we complied, we waited for her to return so we could order. When we asked for the drink we've had on many previous visits, she brought it back as a shot. When we politely explained that this wasn't the drink we typically ordered, she insisted it was correct and dismissed our concerns. Hoping to clarify, we returned to the bar to explain how the drink had been made in the past, only to be met with even more attitude. She dismissively asked What other drink we wanted instead, showing no interest in resolving the issue respectfully. To make things worse, we were charged for three drinks--two of which we didn't even want. When we tried to address the charge at the end of the night, what should have been a simple fix turned into a 30-minute argument. What could have been a minor misunderstanding turned into a stressful and unpleasant experience due to the bartender's attitude and unprofessional behavior. We won't be coming back and cannot recommend this place to anyone. So unfortunate being locals and can't come to our local bar...hopefully that...
