El Roy's Express Mex — Restaurant in Santa Rosa

El Roy’s Express Mex is easily one of the best taco trucks I’ve ever had. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the quality was top-notch. We tried a variety of items—gorditas, tacos, and sopes—with different meats like adobada, carne asada, chicken, and chorizo, and everything was cooked to perfection. The tortillas were fresh, the meats were well-seasoned and tender, and the toppings tied everything together beautifully.

Their salsas, both green and red, added the perfect kick, enhancing the flavors without overpowering them. And their pickled carrots? Absolutely delicious—crisp, tangy, and the perfect side to complement the meal. Every dish had a depth of flavor that stood out from other taco spots I’ve tried.

If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality Mexican street food, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming...

The best tacos in the world are in and around Mexico City...then there are some amazing street vendors around Los Angeles (if you haven't had a food tour by a local in either place, I highly recommend both experiences). Having gotten that out of the way, the Tacos Dorados, with a side of Grilled Peppers & Onions and a Mexican Coke at El Roys are an awesome experience, here in Santa Rosa.

Simple street tacos are very good at a dozen places, at least, around Santa Rosa, btw, which means this little Bay Area Metropolis is truly blessed, but the El Roy Tacos Dorados (sometimes identified as Super Tacos at other places) are truly SPECIAL!

There is not one bad thing that I can say about this place - other than how busy it is and lack of parking. There was not a time when it was dead - a constant flow of people. The prices were more than fair, the food was delcious, and it's open late - not much more you can ask for than that. I ordered the vegetarian super burrito and some food trucks will put the sauted vegetables like squash in them - NOT here. It was exactly what I was looking for. I will be coming back to try more things for sure. If you're looking for Mexican food that isnt that americanized - this would be a great option to...
