Never have I had such a poor experience at a fast food restaurant, and that's saying a lot. Made an online order and they forgot the fries. Went through the drive through and the voice on the box said to drive to the 2nd window after we explained what happened. Now this has happened at other fast food restaurants, and item was forgotten, or order was incorrect. Normally, they immediately fix the order or get the missing item(s) and we go our merry way. Not at this McDonald's! After being told to drive to the second window, workers glanced at us, so they knew we were there. They then ignored us for 10 minutes. Cars were lining up behind us and getting impatient. Finally I knocked on the window and a female employee finally came to the window. Explained we were missing an order of fries. She then said with an attitude that she packed that order and put in the fries. Walked away. We thought she was going for fries. Nope. She brought some other, older woman with her. Again explained we were missing fries. Older woman says 'It's all OK, It's all OK' (??????) with an even bigger attitude than the first, and walked away. Again we thought she was going for the fries. Nope. Both women continued to pack other orders and restock cups, etc. Another few minutes came and went, more cars piling up in the drive through. We were still being ignored. They never attempted to right the situation. Finally knocked on the window and called for a manager (yes I know, my name IS 'Karen', but what were supposed to do?) Talked to a manager or lead or someone. Finally got our fries, or so we thought, but I think it was someone else's order they just shoved at us. We discovered it had a small burger and two orders of fries in the bag when we got home. Usually if an error is made, it gets resolved quickly to everyone's satisfaction. I mean mistakes happen, and you deal with it. I usually don't get upset, but being ignored, then implying we were lying, or trying to scam fries from them...

Then they were out of what we ordered, sweet tea, but instead of telling us they were out, they simply gave us regular tea without letting us know. When we asked for another sweet tea as the first one wasn't sweet at all, they did it again... Hiding us another regular tea, not mention I g they were out of what we wanted. It wasn't until the third request to replace the bitter tea that they finally admitted they were out of sweet tea. So we asked for sugars to make the regular tea sweet and they handed us a few sugars, maybe 5 or 6. I told them I would need a whole lot more than 6 as sweet tea requires a lot of sugar, like maybe 18 or 20 for the extra large size tea we had. They refused to give us what we needed saying 10 was more than enough. I don't enjoy slow service, but being lied to and tricked multiple times instead of simply being honest about being out of something is even worse. And to then refuse to accommodate what it required to make it right is the worst of all. Read moreI have finally given up on this particular McDonald's on Mendocino Avenue. They get my orders wrong and it takes them forever and the fries are usually cold. This morning I was hesitant to go into this particular McDonald's but I thought I'd see if they had improved over the last 6 months. Very sad to say that they have not improved at all. Customer service there is horrendous. I stood at the order counter for 5 minutes and all I got was looks from the kitchen by several people but no one came to take my order. Meanwhile, a customer came back inside from the parking lot and said that his order was all wrong and wanted to get it fixed quickly because he had to go to work. So while they were dealing with that fiasco I continued to stand there for another 5 minutes. And still the employees are looking at me from the kitchen but no one comes out probably at the 12 minute mark I said forget it and I walked out.
