We were in Santee for errands on a rainy day. Perfect weather for a bowl of hot pho soup to eat at home. Found this Vietnamese pho place on Cuyamaca Street in Santee not far from the freeway. We entered the restaurant on the closed side door but the waitstaff was kind and opened the door to let us in and sat us down immediately. He gave us the menu to look and to order food to go. We were excited to see the bun bo hue was available so we ordered this as well as the large house special beef combo. Also, we wanted to try their grilled meat and ordered the grilled beef with rice dish. Unlike some of the Vietnamese restaurants, the entire waitstaff was kind and attentive. Server even took our credit card to process the bill as though we’re customers who ate at the restaurant. A lot of Vietnamese restaurants would require customers to go up to their cashier counter to pay their bills. We loved being treated with consideration and appreciation. Restaurant appeared to be clean and we saw one of the servers mopped and cleaned the floor. We thoroughly enjoyed the pho, bun bo hue and the grilled beef rice dish. Very authentic Vietnamese food at a very affordable price, which is a rare find in the East County of San Diego. We will be back to try other dishes in the...
Read moreThis will always be a go-to place for me and my family. The establishment is very clean and well maintained. Their servers are always jolly and would be there to help you. Their bowl sizes, for their soup and noodles, could carry a great amount of food. And to add to that, they give great amount of meat in their Pho orders, which is a great plus!
I would definitely suggest getting their Number02, #02, Pho if you want to. I also love adding their chili oil in it, to add that extra flavor. And definitely add some lemon and sriracha sauce. If you are not used to finishing your soup, do not worry, because you can put it to go and they will give you a container so you can take it home. But if I were you, FINISH IT hahaha. It can be considered as a comfort food. Also, I would suggest getting their Pork Fried Rice. This fried rice have that sweet flavor, and it compliments the whole fried rice itself.
If you are also feeling lazy to go out and eat at this establishment, do not worry! They are a part of he online delivery service. But again, if I were you, I would definitely go here and eat your Pho...
Read moreI'll give 0 stars if I could. We got a Corean guy I think. Very rude. In Corean culture asking questions is considered rude. He didn't like we asked what was in some dishes and a few minutes to decide what to order. When we were ready to order he made us wait more then he said if you don't order now there are more people coming in. I was stunned by what he was saying. He pretty much said he wasn't coming back to take our order. But he was having a great time welcoming regular customers. So if you are not local you're not welcome. We are actually originally from Santee. Born and raised. Now we live in Texas. Then he brought us whatever he wanted not what we order. Oh what a difference from the previous owners. Excellent service and the food was the best. Not anymore. Now Food sucks. Service sucked. Never again. Don't eat at...
