Carrabba’s University is my favorite location for this restaurant*, I know it’s not authentic Italian food, but food does have a fantastic flavor as American food. Any location also has American portions. And they include American condiments too. Chicken Trio is by far my favorite plate. I just like it with Alfredo on the side or another plain white sauce pasta since it comes with 3 totally different chickens. You can also order the same with only one type of chicken or two of them. Their Caesar salad is amazing as starter. Not very overpriced, just paying the price for quality and quantity. Cheeses could be better. I don’t like bartenders or sitting in the bar since they don’t stream good stuff, but they have ‘some’ very good servers that make up for bartender’s flaws. Carrabba’s will be the perfect “to go to” if they had polite Bartenders, if servers were more caring and if they wouldn’t rush things. I believe they should include more italian spices and respect the “wine time”. * I personally liked Carrabba’s to the point I wanted to work for them and be a server. They hired me but transferred me to Stickney Point’s location and it truly ruined Carrabba’s for me. There’s a lot of drama between kitchen and rest of the staff. A lot of personal relationships at the work place and managers are aware but don’t do much about it. I was told, during my first day, to watch out for certain cooks and for certain servers because they were in a very problematic relationship. Even so, I’m back. Different location. Changing plates around and knowing that, if I get another rude bartender or server, I can always communicate with the manager and ask for a switch.

So let me start by saying I love this Carrabba’s. Like, the regular menu? Always solid. The staff? Super sweet. The bread with the oil? Yes please. But the monthly wine tasting event? That one was a wild ride I did not see coming. First of all, shoutout to my immune system because I genuinely thought I might end up writing this review from a hospital bed. Spoiler alert, I did not get food poisoning, which honestly feels like a small miracle considering the food seemed like it had been prepped during lunch and just politely sat there until dinner. The wine selection though? Surprisingly excellent. Whoever curated the pairings deserves a gold star and maybe a bonus. Every pour had a reason and a vibe and actually matched the dish. It was thoughtful. It was generous. It was the kind of wine tasting that makes you believe someone in the back actually cares about tannins and finish and other fancy wine words. Now about the food. It wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t giving hot, fresh, or lovingly plated. It felt like it had been portioned out in advance like a very polite buffet that forgot to plug in the warmers. Each course arrived with the exact same temperature as my table napkin. Room temperature lasagna is a special kind of emotional experience. I will say this again. I love this Carrabba’s. I will absolutely be back for my go-to chicken Bryan and a glass of house red. But the wine tasting? That was a one-time adventure. I came. I sipped. I ate cold pasta. And I survived. To the team who picked the wine, you did great. Just next time maybe give the chicken a hug and a heat lamp.

My husband and I haven’t been to Carraba’s Italian Grill in years and decided to go here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We went early and was greeted by Jason K, one of the managers.(Carrabba’s on university in Bradenton, fl) It was very friendly and easy to talk to. He had just celebrated his 19th wedding anniversary and congratulated us on making it to our 25th. He sat us in the bar area, and a booth that I requested as I have back issues and sitting at a high top, doesn’t work for me. Since it was still early to get the happy hour prices on appetizers, Alex, who is our bartender, said he would put them in closer to the 4 o’clock time. He made great recommendations. I ordered a glass of wine and was pleasantly surprised when it came with a little charcuterie board on top containing cheese, meat, bread, jam. I thought it was so beautiful how they did that as I had not seen that before and I’d come back just alone for that. Kudos to Carrabba’s for thinking of something like that. That just made it feel even more special. Our appetizers arrived, They were just as good as Alex described. Both of our meals were delicious , as well as the desserts. Thank you to Jason K, Alex, and the staff who came out to sing to us for our anniversary just made our night even more special. We look forward to having our next date night here. This place will definitely be on our rotation now just as how we were treated And how the food tasted was excellent. I highly recommend this place.

Usually perfect, but our last two visits was not so good.thus last visit, I was there with extended family about 8 of us and it was busy, I'll give them that. We were not treated kindly from the point we sat down to the end of our meal. The waitress was short temperament, slow, seldom visited our table and when she did it was not vary attentive. Over all poor service.

The food was room temperature or cold. Had issues with two meals, and talking to the waitress, she was rude and short temperament. Basically said "she doesn't cook , just puts orders in", etc. That's not what you say. She had no clue of customer service or respect. She later got a manager, who handled the situation much better then the waitress.

I understand what being over worked, busy with multiple jobs can do to a person. If it's getting this bad and she couldn't handle it she should be asking for assistance for others or let the tables know the situation and make them aware that tonight is excessively busy and it may take longer then normal. Most people will understand this situation. No need to be a ride, disrespectful, ungrateful, nasty, uncaring, no smile person (waitress). We all said thank you and was vary kind to her and she hardly responded.. Other wait staff was handling their tables just fine.

This was at the University location, and It was our worst experience there at any Carrabba's. We (family) have been there many times over the years and go to Carrabba's often. It's unfortunate, it's mostly been 100% amazing. Yes, there is the occasional small issue that may arise but it's never like this, even in those busy and crazy days. It was the worst experience my family had at a restaurant in many years. We were upset and aggravated, just wanted our check and go. Yes the manager made adjustments to the bill, and that was good, well done.

The waitress, I wish I took her name down and contacted high management. I personally was ready to confront the waitress and management there in the spot and say something to the waitress personally. Yes, I kept cool and calm. We were all (family) so let down and disappointed with our last visit.. Again our experience with Carrabba's have been extremely awesome in the past, now it's not. We won't be back there anytime soon. I hope that the waitress received the help she needed, She was...

Today was the 2nd time in a year that I was treated poorly by staff at this location, and I won't be back! I ordered take out and was told when placing my order to pull around to the south side of the building when I arrived and that they would bring my order to the car. I received a text that my order was ready at 7:28, and here it was 7:45 and I was waiting outside despite being told it was ready 17 minutes ago. I called to inquire as to when they would bring my food out to the car and was told since I was not in a " to go parking spot" ( there weren't any available when I first arrived) that I would have to move my car or not be served. I told the person on the phone that I would gladly meet them halfway (10 feet ) from the designated to go spot, but I didn't feel that it was necessary to move my car (10 feet).

Shortly after a unpleasant young lady appeared at my window with the food and glared at me, I am assuming in an attempt to make me feel uncomfortable because I wouldn't move the car 10 feet. After spending over $ 80.00 in their establishment I didn't think it should have been an issue!

The food was mediocre at best lacked flavor and the bread was hard as a rock. I think this location should take a lesson from the one in Venice FL, because I have always enjoyed my meal and received exemplary service at that location. For the prices they charge they should put more effort into making sure their food is up to par and that their employees are kind to the customers!

On a site note, presentation is everything and the owners of this location should think about taking a pressure washer to the front of the building and cleaning it up a bit! The outside walls are black and the entrance looks nasty. I visited a year ago and it looked just as filthy. A little food for thought... If this is what the customers see, how nasty are the things we don't see??

I will be reporting my unpleasant experience at this location to corporate!! I do not...
