I had the absolute pleasure of dining at El Patio Latino, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The authenticity of the Peruvian cuisine transported my taste buds to a whole new level. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and a genuine sense of hospitality from the staff.
The service was nothing short of excellent, with every need attended to promptly and courteously. It's evident that the team at El Patio Latino takes great pride in providing top-notch service to their guests.
What truly sets El Patio Latino apart is the ambiance. The entire restaurant is adorned with stunning furniture straight from Peru, creating an atmosphere that's not just delicious but culturally immersive. It's like taking a culinary journey through Peru without leaving your table.
But the icing on the cake was when the owner personally came out to chat with us. Their passion for Peruvian cuisine and dedication to creating an authentic experience was palpable. It was fascinating to hear about their journey, and it added a personal touch to the meal.
While it's unfortunate to hear that the location in Peru has closed, it's clear that El Patio Latino's presence in Barcelona, Spain, and Sarasota, Florida, is thriving. It's no surprise that people are flocking to experience this exceptional taste of Peru in such wonderful destinations.
In conclusion, El Patio Latino is a culinary gem that offers not just outstanding Peruvian cuisine but also a heartfelt welcome and an immersive atmosphere. Whether you're in Barcelona or Sarasota, this restaurant is a must-visit for food enthusiasts and anyone looking for a taste of Peru's rich culinary heritage. Read moreOnce again, an outstanding experience! For over 14 years, we have had the pleasure of enjoying the delicious food at this family restaurant, always with impeccable service. If you're looking to taste authentic Spanish dishes and sangria or dive into the world-renowned Peruvian cuisine, this is the perfect place. The cozy atmosphere and the consistent quality of its dishes make it an unbeatable choice.
For over 12 years, we have trusted their catering service for our private celebrations at home, and it has always been a resounding success among our guests, who eagerly enjoy every bite. My recommendation: please, don’t limit yourself to sandwiches with fries and a drink. Let yourself be surprised by an exquisite Spanish mixed paella or the fish ceviche, which has an unbeatable taste, even compared or better to the one I enjoyed in Peru during my multiple visits. I also suggest trying the yucca with huancaína sauce, tacu tacu rice with beef or sautéed chicken, or the delicious tacachos with cecina beef and chorizo, accompanied by traditional Spanish sangria. For dessert, you can’t miss the delicious suspiro limeño or the coconut flan.
And almost forgot, don’t miss ordering the incredible huacatay sauce! Its unique flavor is a delight, especially when paired with the tender and flavorful rotisserie chicken. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed, just as we haven’t been over all these years. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area, just as it is for many of our friends and family.
Thank you for always giving us the opportunity to enjoy your excellent menu, and above all, for maintaining consistent quality and service...
Read moreMy husband and I were last here about 10 years ago. Very disappointed. They serve very little portions. We ordered the Fish Ceviche. The fish wasn’t fresh, the sweet potatoe seemed old. I ordered the chicharrón de pescado. Fish had no taste, wasn’t fresh and only got maybe 6 thin pieces of fish and about 9 pieces of yuca. Normally you get huge fish chunks and huge yuca pieces. It’s supposed to be served with fresh salsa criol which is picked red onions. This meal came with what seemed like the onions were sitting in the lime juice for hours. My husband ordered the Chicha which is made with purple corn, pineapple, cinnamon. It didn’t taste anything close to what it’s supposed to taste like. I also ordered a Peruvians tamal, another disappointment. Not ever going back. And the young lady who was the server was more concerned with taking plates of the table that I wasn’t finished with. Very very...
