I was really looking forward to trying this place because I've dined at the chain before but was disappointed by a few things. Although the aesthetic was fun my biggest issue with the experience was the service. Being in customer service myself, I try to be understanding but there seemed to be quite a lack of care among the servers. I asked our server twice for waters and had to get up and ask the girl at the bar for waters a third time after the food had already arrived. A couple who came after us had the same server and received their water and food before us. Our server did not come to check on us once and it was a frustrating experience having to flag other people down for simple requests. Not only that but our entrees came out 20 minutes apart and our app came out last, so my mom and I were unable to eat at the same time. It was just disappointing because I wanted to treat my her to something nice and being treated like we don't matter put such a dimmer on the day. As for the food, it was pretty mediocre. The ramen tasted like bamboo shoots and the egg strangely had a vanilla taste but the omurice and yakitori was good. Aside from that, I still want this place to succeed because it’s hard to come by legit Asian food in Sarasota. I see other reviews that claim to have similar issues but with a few small changes I can really see this place doing very well.
