Lady lola Food Truck — Restaurant in Sarasota

Stopped by for lunch today with my sister — first time for both of us, and BOYYY can we not recommend this food truck enough!

The service itself deserves 5 stars; the two gentlemen working are the epitome of hospitality ! My sister is gluten AND dairy free (yikes), however they did not hesitate to whip up a delicious dish to accommodate her — it was something with fried plantain and beef etc. I panicked and blindly ordered the Cabirepa bc everything sounded so good and I couldn’t make up my mind..

We took our food to go and once we got home and took the first couple of bites, we couldn’t stop talking about how insanely good everything was. You can literally taste the love and effort that is put into each dish !

First, I have to say the friendliness level of the staff already gives this place an extra star. Now let's add the stars for the food... The level of yum that touched my lips was way higher than 5 stars! I had the street corn and the cachapas with pulled pork and Venezuelan cheese. WOW.. they both were SO DELICIOUS. I'm fairly certain no matter what you order from here, it will be delicious. I wish I lived closer, but this will probably be the first and only time I will ever visit because of that. What a shame 🤣 They also have so many sauces to choose from. The bacon sauce was amazing. It had a nice smoky flavor ... How can anything with bacon be bad LOL...and if you like garlic... Was looking for a place to eat quick when riding out of town back to the east coast and grabbed 2 empanadas. They were so good I made all 4 other people I was with try a bite and all the people that had just told me they weren't hungry and didn't want anything all of a sudden each ordered food and were equally as impressed with their choices. The beef and chicken was quality and the shells were crunchy yet soft on the inside with a great corn taste. Perfect! The owners or staff were super friendly as well. Now I see why they have 5 stars!
