Shelf Indulgence Used Book Cafe — Restaurant in Sarasota

SO COZY. The Edgar Allen Poe life size cardboard cutout was very interesting, we looked at eachother as I drank my coffee. The sandwiches were SO good mine had avocado and usually sandwiches are so dry but these were good. The coffee was eh because it was very strong and jt made my head hurt, but that’s because I don’t have a coffee addiction and the only coffee I usually get is the Java chip Frappuccino from Starbucks. I wish they had cats, that’s the only thing that could be better. I didn’t actually look at any of the books on the shelves but I saw Warrior cats and knew my 4th grade self would have loved this place too, especially because it was so small and cozy. The environment was so nice the college students would come and talk with their friends. I stayed for a whole afternoon until closing time and it felt like I was in Gilmore Girls. If I don’t open a store like this in the future, what am I doing...

I love this cozy book cafe so very much! They have a terrific selection of gently used books plus beverages and light menu items available for purchase. It’s a small shop but does have some seating and WiFi available if you’re looking for a place to relax, read, or work for a little while. All books are organized by genre, recommended age, or topic. I recommend buying a book from their “blind date” bin which is a really fun way to add to your personal library or branch out to new a author/genre. As far as the cafe, I’ve only bought coffee and tea drinks so far but I’m definitely planning to branch out to some of their other menu options in the future. Go support this fabulous...

Loved this cute cute place.

While I love an old, dusty used bookstore—- this place is NOT that. It’s spotless and bright! My only issue is that the chairs aren’t super comfortable for sitting and eating and reading……

The people working here took my book list and did the [personal shopper] thing for me and went and found things for me. Absolutely lovely!

The coffee was amazing and they started a tab for me so I could hang out and even brought me the coffee.

These small touches were so so welcome and appreciated!!!!!
