La Locanda di Diego — Restaurant in Sarasota

So very very strange place we had a large party, but oddly no other patrons. Food was atrocious, and definitely not Italian, also for some reason a DJ started at about 10pm we didn't have our food yet and it was turning into a night club as we waited. Now while we made the best of it, it seemed okay fine large party late service let's roll with it, but then all tickets wrong machine broke had to redo tickets it was hot mess! Also people blatantly smoking pot in parking lot. Soooo..... not sure if this restaurant is a front . Also one server one cook very very very odd...

Delicious Italian food from a local business. Our waiter Daniel was very attentive and answered all the questions we had on the menu. I had the chicken parmigiana which was phenomenal and the pasta was just right. For desert we had the tiramisu which is delicious and a cappuccino. Highly recommend this local Italian spot, also our waiter told us about the exciting nightlife offerings there from electronic dance music to live rock music,...

What a unique and special venue for entertainment. I have been here for electronic dance music events (drum and bass, house). I will be back to check out more variety of music entertainment that they have scheduled in the future. I have not yet been there during normal business hours when the kitchen is open- so I can’t give any stars for food. However, Denny is always serving cold drinks (beer, wine, sangria) with a smile...
