This shop is the best bakery in town. I say that as a person that eats a lot of donuts. I have needed to up my daily run from 5 to 7 miles to continue this habit of frequenting this bakery. When I was a young boy, my Dad brought me to Mr. Donut that used to be in St. Cloud many years ago. I would always get an apple fritter and have great memories of Mr. Donut. Now, I can eat the apple fritters at the Dutch Maid and am brought back to my great childhood memories. Better yet, I told my Dad about this place and now he is making the same memories with his grandchildren. This is a hole-in-the-wall type of old school baker that is second to none in St. Cloud. They have a small table where one can sit and have coffee and a donut but if there were a downside to this bakery, it would be that they don't have enough space to eat there. Maybe they will someday but at this point, there baking and pricing still keeps me coming there. I tried St. Cloud Bakery and they have some decent apple flips but when I can get tastier ones at the Dutch Maid for half the...

So I want to try other things. Never know when you’re supposed to show up for those items though. I’ve been there at like 11am. Most donuts gone. Most cookies gone. They have buns maybe a pie or two. Sometimes danishes. Then cupcakes and small cakes.
I’ve asked about when is the best time get stuff. To multiple employees. No one has given me a clear answer which makes no sense. I was told they make a really good cranberry wild rice bread. Tried to get some. Was basically shrugged at with the most run around answer of how to get it.
Then when you show up at 12-1 it’s even more empty which confuses me more. Cause they’re still open for hours. So what exactly is there to buy? Either way if you want a donut sure they’ll most likely not have what you want. But otherwise can’t recommend...
Read moreI have been ordering Reese's peanut butter cups, 2 doz ($5 a dozen) which is what he charged for this order. I always order these and same amount 2 doz. I looked back on my receipt and the owner charged me $25 ($1 each) the last time I ordered. Employee placed call to owner and he told her he always charges $1 each for those. My previous receipts all say about .50 each. I spoke to another person who is customer there and same thing happened to them, out of the blue the owner more than doubled the price on the item. I'm not ordering those large orders anymore if those games are going to go on...I think he just did not want to credit my account for the mistake. That's too bad because I have been promoting that bakery since they opened here in SR. I'm going to be letting others know about this. You should not treat loyal...
