We love Egg Roll King. It was one of the 1st restaurants we tried when we moved to Savannah 6 years ago. This place is take out only. Parking is convenient and located right in front of the store. The location of the restaurant is not in the best area but we have never had any trouble while picking up orders. Service is fast and they never get your order wrong. The food is delicious, well prepared and fresh. The pan fried dumplings are good. Their egg rolls are tasty and fried to perfection. The other night, we ordered a sesame chicken combo, an orange chicken combo and fried dumplings. The combos come with an egg roll, white or fried rice and you can substitute any kind of lo mein for a few dollars more. The pork or chicken lo meins are the best. The portions are HUGE and the food is delicious. Prices are very reasonable.

The man at the counter was horrible with his attitude and he act like he didn't know what they served from the big wall menu. He had the nerve to say" Am I going to really get what I ordered", as if I had no intention of paying for what I ordered. This was my first and last time coming here. The food was burned and I didn't enjoy it, but I think he purposely did that because I matched his attitude. It's okay, because I will never go here again and there are too many places that taste much better. I took a picture of the plate and then threw it away. This was $20 of disappointment.

I love this place and for a few years now have ordered religiously. I’m not sure what has abruptly happened but my last time ordering, the beef in my fried rice was sour and tonight’s order had this in it(see photo) def a head of something but what in the hell is it even?!? Maybe it’s just my bad luck as they are a great place or May be time for a break for me. I can’t even eat now I’m traumatized.

They don't put Chinese vegetables in their dishes. I am accustomed to bean sprouts, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots in my shrimp Foo Young and not cabbage and celery in my egg rolls. Their fried chicken wings are okay but most of the Chinese restaurants in Savannah serve prebreaded, prepackaged shrimp which are fried up too hard and the fried rice gets meat simply added to it instead of it being stir fried into it without Chinese vegetables and green onions like traditional, Chinese food. I like traditional Chinese food and not the cabbage down version I spend a lot of money for. The Japanese restaurant downtown and the New Mandarin Wok serve the best Oriental food in the city. That is the word for today: "Real Chinese vegetables!" Real...

Now this is a-okay place to get some food. But God forbid you be a woman and your battery dies in your car. The female worker or owner of the restaurant came and knocked on the window in the snowstorm and then just left didn't stop to see If I need help. She just knocked on the window like I had to get off her Property with a dead battery. Thankfully, a gentleman came along that has some jumper cables. Because I have been asking everyone else but the owner or the woman that was in this restaurant was disrespectful. Unconcerning, God forbid she ever gets stuck on Side of the road and her battery dies and nobody helps her. I hope nobody does her the same way she did me. But I won't be spinning my money...
