This is probably the worst experience I've had in an establishment in nearly five years. I often frequent The tropical smoothie Cafe on Montgomery crossroads, however when this one opened I decided to visit today for the first time because this location is closer to my job. I work at a hotel where I constantly recommend different eating establishments I will never recommend this location on Derenne and possibly none other. When we pulled up to the drive-thru no one came to the speaker for nearly 10 minutes while we sat there, finally we pulled into a parking space and went inside the restaurant. When we walked in, there were four associates working the front. Not one of them greeted us when we walked in the door. They all looked up so I was standing there and looked right back down and away. There was only one guest being served and the association who served him his smoothie walked right past my boyfriend and I while we stood at the register did not acknowledge us at all. The other three associates never came and asked what we needed help with. A fifth associate came out of the back she greeted us with a nasty, aggravated "how y'all doing" never said I'll be right with you but continued walking past us. My boyfriend and I continue to stand at the register for another 5 to 7 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Finally we walked out, never took return. These young people that you hire have horrible dispositions, no customer service skills and they are poorly trained and they're killing your businesses. I cannot speak on the quality of the food or the drinks and I definitely can't speak on dining and or taking out because we never got anything that I could give a review on. From start to end i had to repeat my order several times on the intercom and at the window. My order was completely wrong I was initially given the wrong smoothie which i had to repeat the one I ordered again for the fourth time. Not only that i specifically asked no tomatoes on my flatbread after waiting in the drive-thru for 10mins and repeating the order 5 times i still got tomatoes as well as a threw together flatbread that was cold. I requested and paid for sweet potatoes for my side which is an up charge. Only to be told after paying that they don’t have anymore I then requested another premium side of corn all to be given a reg bag of chips. Read moreExtremely slow, unpleasant, inattentive staff. Ten seconds after I came in to pick up an order, one of the employees was rude enough to laugh and stare at me, then refused to explain why. The manager on duty ignored this but gave the offending woman a hug... but didn't even notice I was there, and that I was visibly annoyed as well. It took five minutes for anyone else to acknowledge my presence. I'm not generally unpleasant to deal with and I hate Karens as much as the next guy, but honestly, that manager needs a demotion. This store is walking distance from my home, but I will NEVER come back.
