Great find! The outside looked kinda sketchy but the inside was very clean and new-looking. Guy working the counter was very polite and patient with my indecisiveness (my first time there). I got cilantro chicken entree with cabbage and zucchini in tomato sauce and black beans and a filled churro. Also got hot chipotle sauce and chimichurri on the side. Chicken was tender and flavorful, the chimichurri gave it a nice kick! The beans were quite bland and the chipotle was needed. The veggies were fresh and well cooked but the tomato sauce didnt match flavor wise to me. More chipotle to the rescue, they really should bottle their sauces, I would’ve bought both. The churro itself was yummy! But I was disappointed they only had chocolate and strawberry filling, I’m allergic to strawberries and really wanted a cream filled one, but next time hopefully. I’m just learning their menu and I’ll try something else...
Read moreSo I finally rate this place (I finally have some free time) and I can say that it was really good, from the service to the food. I'm a Latino and my girlfriend and I were in the mood for some real rice and beans to start, and the rest is extra so it was nice to find this place. All, the rice and beans were delicious, the extras, plantains, the fried Yuca, pollo asado, and especially the ropa vieja, don't remember if that's what they called it there but damn it was deliciously on point. And the Churros were just right. I didn't like the mango juice cause it was too sweet for my taste, takes away from its natural essence. The passion fruit juice in the other hand, although a bit sweet, was delicious, kind of like the make it here in Miami. I was so happy to have found this place in Savannah, shoutout to la Boricua, la Peruana, la Mejicana, and el Americano learning Spanish. El...
Read moreWorst food ive had since coming to Savannah. Was looking for some latin food and this was a mistake! The "churrasco" is more like a really thin sirloin soaked in vinegar that tastes like plastic extremely greasy and when I asked about why it had white greasy puddles on the back of the steak, I was told it was because they are soaked in vinegar??🤔. Really bad twice fried plantains, French fries and the tostones were refried as well. Would NOT recommend to anyone at all. Worst $38 I have ever wasted. When the woman who helped me offered me something else I told her I didnt want chicken so she recommended I try the pork chunks and the "ropa vieja" which in translation means old clothes and thats exactly what it tasted like. The pork was served to me in what seemed to be a pool of grease and oil..didnt even try it. I was very dissatisfied and will not return...
