Every year we do a brewery ride. A bicycle ride to a brewery approximately 100 miles away. Triptych was this years destination and it didn't disappoint. The weather was beautiful for some patio beers, so we each got a flight of mostly pale and IPA's. All tasted true to style and were very good. I did have the Cherry Stout and it was delicious as well. This would have been enough, as we were ready to go, but then the owner and the lead sales man (Resident beer taster) came out and we started talking. Almost an hour later and a few more samples of coffee, chocolate, and barrel age beer, and we were still hanging out. It was amazing! The beer and the company. One of the coolest experiences I've had. We departed then to grab a bite to eat, but later returned to fill growlers. I've had beer all over the country, and Triptych was right there and very up to date with new styles and tastes. The beer was very good. The AJ's Barrel Aged Stout was so smooth and delicious (not currently on tap). Later when I returned I filled my growler with Hoppy Anniversary, which I thoroughly enjoyed. We had a great experience at Triptych and I highly recommend if you are a...
Read moreMy wife and I just moved to Champaign a couple of months ago from Pittsburgh, which has an amazing brewery scene. I was nervous whether this smaller area would be able to keep my thirst quenched, but discovering Triptych has put those fears aside. The range of styles they tackle is not only impressive, but that they actually pull them off (the sours have been especially nice). Also, the way they sell individual cans makes it so convenient to try all of the exciting things they make. And most of their cans are between $3-5 for 32oz (amazing!). Lastly, I've only had pleasant interactions with the staff and all of my orders were handled very quickly. Every week, I look forward to what they are releasing. Thanks for...
Read moreGreat place. I’ve been there many times and it’s always friendly service and I love that the severs always have great knowledge of the beers and the brewing process. I’m a great fan a craft beer and I love visiting breweries. Triptych to me stands out as the very best. They make a wide variety of great beers. In my opinion their fruit sours are the very best. They also make great barrel aged stouts that stand out above the rest. And if you are bored with the typical IPA’s then you should definitely check out a hazy IPA from Triptych. I’ve had multiple people tell me that they don’t like IPA’s but they love a Triptych IPA! I recommend this brewery to anybody who love...
