Bello's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Sayreville

We went to Bello's for dinner and one of the bartenders was taking our order. Even though we were sitting with a large table of folks, we specifically had asked the bartender if she can keep our bill separate, she agreed. We ordered two cheeseburgers. Nothing pricey, came to a total of $19.00. The server never came to the table with the check so we went up to the bar and had reminded her that our check was separate from the rest of the table. She rings up my credit card for $159.62 for two cheeseburgers and walks away to the other side of the bar. I was asking her to come back but another bartender had asked what had happened and we had told her that she overcharged us in the amount of $159.62 for two cheeseburgers. The 2nd bartender was nice and tried to credit the account but stated that it won't even hit our bank. Well, we got home and checked our bank account and the amount did hit our account and now it will take more than a few days to credit back due to the holiday. This puts us in a bad situation over an incompetent bartender who overcharged us and never once apologized or tried to make this right. Why does Bello's have this incompetent bartender working there who is also very rude. We won't be going to...

I haven't been to this place since it was Simkos...25 yrs ago...my wife and I stopped in as we were on our way to dinner at another location last week....im glad we stayed for dinner...the food we ordered was real good...nice portion..and real reasonable in price....we came a second time with extended family last night...and again...food quality was very good...our waitress...which we had the first time too...well...i guess she is still learning the waitress ropes..she was young...and needs to be a little more rounded in waitress skills...just being politically correct...other than that...we plan on coming back often...need to try the other dinners on the menu...it...

Bello's is consistently on. the. mark. If you want to go there for comfort foods, you will not be disappointed. On occasion, they have chicken francese and swedish meatballs on the Specials menu. I would order daily if these dishes it was offered on the regular. The perogies are out of this world -- you cannot go wrong. Friendly and helpful staff -- it is nice to see employees happy to work where they work! PLEASE PUT THE SWEDISH MEATBALLS AND CHICKEN FRANCESE ON YOUR...
