Read moreUpdate June 2022: this place will make sure to give you even less quantity in the smaller containers. The side of rice now contains one tiny spoon filling 1/3 of the container. The bean burrito which has been ever shrinking manages to fall down two or three bite sized mini burrito. They barely feel any beans and red sauce and them anymore at this location.
East Brunswick is a better location. This place used notoriously flaky, stake or dried out beans.
Generally Taco Bells do not disappoint. However there is something unsettling about the beans served here at this Perth Amboy location on Route 9.
The beans in your burrito or Mexican Pizza are grainy and have a weird texture to them which also causes the taste to be slightly different. Initially, I thought they had missed up the beans and beef but closer inspection proved otherwise (than goodness, I'm vegetarian).
I've given this place multiple chances at various times of the day and each time it is the same. Now I prefer to go to the location on East Brunswick off Route 18 North instead even though it is farther.
Taco Bell has changed their recipe for beans and bean burrito preparation.
Now the beans tend to at times be flaky and dry. 2.They also grill the regular bean burrito which makes the tortilla even harder and drier outside, completely changing the texture of the chewing especially if the beans are flaky. The amount of beans in the bean burrito had also reduced where 50% of the 'roll' is just folded and double-wrapped burrito and barely taste or feel the beans and red sauce...
Read moreI'm a big fan of taco bell. The menu is easy to navigate and order from. They have good options for anyone who likes fast food like this. But my goodness is the service the worst I've ever encountered. As I stood inside with my mask on, patiently waiting for someone to address me as I stood right in front of the cash register. After ten minutes and dozen or two instances where an employee and/or manager walked out to the counter to give food and completely ignored the only person standing at the counter, I asked if I could place an order. I was told they were busy and I could use the self serve kiosk or wait for someone to help me. I explained how every time I use the kiosk the order always comes out incorrect and I would rather not touch a giant touch screen that hundreds of other people have touched. Instead of taco bell and it's managers doing the right thing and having employees serve the customers, they want me to pay the same price to do half their job and increase the chances of spreading this horrible virus. I'm sorry taco bell, but half of your locations have rude and completely uninterested employees who have NO CLUE what customer service is. After 25 years of being a customer, I have about had it with all but two of your roughly 30 locations I pass throughout...
