Best pizza in town **UPDATE** Singas used to be good until it changed ownership recently. I gave the place a few shots before coming here and writing a review. Each time I've been disappointed more. One thing that's consistent is the lack of sauce and cardboard like pizza. Not sure if the owner is trying to save on sauce or doesn't know how to make a pizza. But this short sighted gains will only lead to long term losses. Today was the last straw. Ordered a bunch of pizzas and not only were they dry and flavorless, but they were completely inedible. I'm definitely not ordering again and will make sure everyone I know is aware of the mediocre quality. For reference I've attached a photo in which you can clearly see the lack of sauce. I hope the owner of the business sees this. DO BETTER!

I don’t know what happened to my favorite pizza place . Ever since the owners changed pizza quality has gone bad. We ordered 7 pizza and out of that 2 were heavily burnt and not edible . I called the store and the manager asked me to send pictures. I did as he asked then he asked to send picture for all . I wasn’t looking to get any discount but just wanted them to know . Rather than excepting mistake the manager is asking for picture of all burnt pizzas , which was really annoying . I wouldn’t bother ordering here again.

I’ll never order from this Singas again. I ordered at 7:30 they called me at 8 saying they’re trying to close when am I picking up the order? It says they’re open until 9:30. My wife went in and tried to speak to the person at the counter and he ignored her while counting money. One of the pizzas had raw onions added on at the end instead of being cooked in. On top of horrible service and rude people the pizza wasn’t good. I’ll stick with the Singas in Edison. What a mistake ordering from here.

An Indian friend who knows that I like a taste of the exotic recommended that I try Indian-style Pizza. Now before somebody suggests that it is a ridiculous idea to have Indian pizza rather than Italian, I should point out that nearly every country that has adopted pizza has their own touches for making it. The Scots seem to like ham and pineapple pizza, though you rarely find it in the US. You do find it at Singas. I think the Greeks have a teardrop shaped pizza. By the way the Baltic Republics have excellent herring pizza. I like things exotic.

I asked my friend what made Indian pizza different from, say, American pizza. He was sort of at a loss to put it into words, making me all the more anxious to try it. Well, based on three pies (I will explain why three later on) I would say that it is not a lot different. The toppings are not particularly exotic sounding. But at least at Singas is piles a lot of toppings on a pizza. Back when I was first ordering pizza I seem to remember that American pizza was made with a lot of toppings, but then pizza parlors started playing the same game that the auto companies did. They make a basic model that is very basic and then they over-charge for lots of options or in this case toppings. Singas loaded the lots of toppings on. They did that a little more for their vegetarian pizzas than for the pepperoni and mushroom, but it wasn't bad.

Then there are the condiments. There is the grated Parmesan and the pepper flakes. They are also just like the US. But they also had bottles of Start Hot Curry Sauce. (Did I mention I like exotic flavors?) Good stuff and it does lend an Indian flavor to the pizza. In Parlin of you like the Start sauce you can find it just a few feet away at Patel Grocery. The North Brunswick Singas is also right next to an Indian grocery, I think.

Singas is a chain, and they there are several in New Jersey. A large pizza will serve people, but they have a deal that if you buy two large pizzas you get a free smaller pizza. That means that I will be eating pizza for breakfast for a long time to come.

Side note: the best way to reheat pizza is not in an oven but in a covered fry pan at medium heat. No oil. Check it every two or three minutes to see when the cheese gets soft. The lower crust gets crispy. The toppings rejuvenate just fine. The result rivals...

I wouldn't have even given 1 star to this place if I had the choice. My mom went to the bathroom and she informed me that the lock was broken and there was only a latch. That too wasn't secure since when you open the door, the latch still opens enough so you can see the person inside. I went to the other bathroom stall, the lock was ALSO BROKEN in this bathroom. One of the male workers walked in while I was on the toilet. It was so embarassing for me. First of all, there are no working locks in BOTH the bathrooms. Secondly, as worker if you are aware the locks don't work, SHOULDNT YOU KNOCK AND ENTER?? Third of all, why isnt there a sign outside the door stating to knock prior to entering as the locks don't work. This was a highly unpleasant experience for me and very embarassing. I will NEVER come back to this shop again nor recommend anyone to as well. I felt so embarassed due to your negligence.

ON TOP OF THAT. the worker was discussing the incident of how he saw me in the bathroom in spanish to his other colleague in spanish thinking I wouldn't understand! Absolutely ridiculous!! I WILL ESCALATE...

I have been going to Singas for years (lake Hiawatha and Edison location) and never had a bad experience. This was the first time I went here and let me tell you it was not to their standards I have been used to. First off the service was very rude, which I would have overlooked if the food was good. The pizza was way underdone. The toping were burnt... Don't really understand that one. The pizza was not cut right either ( I'm not talking about uneven slices which I am ok with). When I went to pick it up they guy was like we only accept cash!!! First off should have told me that when I ordered as I don't have cash and would not have placed an order. Then he was like you can Venmo or zelle! Not sure if that is to avoid credit card fees or taxes?!?!? Whatever the case

Overall the experience was horrible and I would never return to the location. Please go to their other location...
