Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Schertz

I went into tropical smoothie @ 1:40pm around 1:45pm ordered & bought 3 apple pie paradise smoothies. As I was waiting for them to be made. Tera had made 2 of them and there was extra in the blender and I ask her if I could taste alittle bit of it since I don’t normally like apple pie. I think I don’t like it because of texture but if it’s blended so it might be different. I was thinking if I tasted it and didn’t like it I could have ordered a different one. There were two people in the back a young man named Aaron and a girl named -Matti The guy said something to Tera about we don’t do taste test and I said you use to, what happened. Nobody was listening and I asked was Veronica here. I said it again and the young man Aaron said she’s saying something and I said yes I am. I was asking why don’t they. So Matti came up and said Veronica wasn’t back there and she’s next in line what can I help you with. I asked what happened you use too. She said we don’t do them anymore and we don’t put them in the (not sure what size think the kids cup) cup anymore . I said I didn’t ask for it in that cup. And she said I know you didn’t I was telling the other girl that (Tera). And we were still talking back and forth loud and then she said don’t cuss at me. I said just one minute I never cussed at you never said a cuss word. Any words that came out of my mouth was not even close to a cuss word. And then she said well it sounded like you wanted to cuss. You can’t tell me what I was going to say or it sounded like a cuss word if it never was. I asked again is Veronica here I saw her when I came in and the guy Aaron said she was in the back the other girl Mattie said she’s not back there . I said ok what is your name she said also with an attitude MATTI (She spelled it out while touching her name tag) And was mumbling as she walked away! I feel so disrespected that she accused me of something I first off didn’t do! And she was rude with an attitude. We had been coming there for years and if not there then to Bamc to give our business. I’m done! Never again will I or my family (or let me give word of mouth to the experience I had to people I know) come back in there. We will be heading over to Smoothie King from hear on out. I have been a manager for years. (Never ever have I heard of some accusing someone of cussing when they didn’t) She should have spoke to me in a different manner. Update This is still part of our delivery rotation. The food and smoothies are quite tasty. You have the option to customize your orders on their app or website. However, order accuracy for deliveries is hit or mess. When I have smoothies on my order, I always make sure to note "pls dont 4get my 3smoothies thx" in the delivery message box before completing my order on their app. This has helped immensely. Last week, my order included six cookies and I only received two. Today, my order was missing an edible straw which has happened several other times.They are more than happy to give you the missing items if you call and then come pick it up, but it definitely defeats the purpose of delivery. So no more edible straws for us going forward I think. It's still one of our favorites though.

Wow. This was tasty. I tried the Detox Island Green smoothie. It is naturally sweetened and low in calories. It has kale, spinach, mango, pineapple, and ginger. If you could put "fresh" in a cup, this is what I would imagine it would taste like. I really loved it. I am still marveling at the low calorie. Their menu says 180 calories, but the size of the cup is quite large. It looks like 24 oz. Surely you jest?! Anyhoo. This was delicious with a capital D. I also tried the Thai chicken wrap. This was also delicious. It came to me in a warm tortilla or maybe the chicken was warm. Either way it was nice. It included chicken, lettuce, and carrots. The sauce they put on this is very tasty. The tortilla tasted fresh and was soft. I got a side with my wrap. Side options include chips, jalapeno corn, slaw, glazed sweet potatoes, and whole fruit. I wish they had a drive thru window! Amaya and Sophia are unfriendly,unwelcoming,unprofessional and rude. We walked in and weren't greeted or acknowledged. When Amaya finally did she made it seem like we were bothering her. When our drinks were ready she placed them on the side counter and said "here. And threw our straws." We walked out and I tasted my sunrise sunset and it had NO FLAVOR. It tasted like water. I went back inside and told Amaya. She offered to remake it but said "it wouldn't matter because that smoothie doesn't have flavor because pineapple and mango dont taste like nothing". This is my favorite smoothie. I've had it plenty of times. Its not supposed to taste like water. I requested a refund. She whispered to Sophia and Sophia loudly said "SO! I DONT CARE IF SHE DOESNT LIKE IT!". I calmy said "excuse me! Would you like to have this conversation with me?" She rolled her eyes,scuffed and turned towards me. With an attitude Says they dont issue refunds and offers me a free smoothie coupon for another time. I told her I'd rather have a refund. She then tells me "we are like all other restaurants. Theres nothing we do if you don't like your food. Its not our fault you don't like it. We don't issue refunds!" She stormed off and got an other employee,Reagan,to issue me a refund. Reagan was so calm,kind and had amazing customer service. She handled the situation with grace and got me squared away. She was apologetic and tried to avoid Sohpia's attitude which continued as I left. She was making a scene and pointing at me as I was leaving. So disrespectful and unprofessional and childish.
