Update May 2024 went back again and freaking 5 stars for everything now. The soy sauce is better nothing was forgotten and they have fried oreos and strawberry ice cream!!
This is all in relation to the all u can eat menu.
The place is so nice and clean and they have ample staff but that may be an issue as someone took my drink for a refill and never came back i had to ask two different staff members to replace the drink, finally the 3rd staff memeber was able to get me my drink.
The green tea ice cream is so potent and delicious. The ice cream was in the all u can eat and i had 3 scoops served separately cuz they serve it one scoop at a time. I wanted it before dinner like a true a fatty but they never brought it as they just assumed i wanted to eat it at the end, so if u r like me .....tell them u want it asap lol
The rice used for the nigiri was not very sticky and would easily fall apart when the chop stick touched it.
The yellowtail and salmon jalepeno amuse was the most incredible fish to lay on my tongue but it could not save the review as the "fried rice" from the all you can eat hibachi was only steamed rice with seasoning, not a single grain had a crisp.
On our first round of all u can eat, i ordered mackerel nigiri and sashmi..it was soo good that didn't even want to mention it in the review as i feared that they would run out of it the next time i visit.
I loved that they served the sushi at room temperature as it should be served, i hate to say it but everything lacked salt in the sushi rolls....the spicy ones were not hot unless you got some natural heat from a jalapeno. The flavor needs a punch, but everything was very naturally light and airy.
Crab Rangoons were made very sweet but i prefer savory.
they provided nice hearty chunky sashimi and I did not in any way feel ripped off.....sometimes these all u can eat places put too much rice and no fish BUT NOT HERE this was a very upscale and elevated all you can eat experience and I will be back.
I was never fat shamed as i have been before by wait staff at a different restaurant.
The place is so clean and sleek i love the ceiling, i always check the celing out ay every restaurant when i first walk in and this place is in prestige condition with very modern flare.
I girl approve this place for a date!!!!
The way to a womans heart is through her stomach, so bring her here!!!! You will very much fall in love.
I approve this place for a bday celebration!! Bring someone special here!!!
At $30 a head it came out to $97 for three all u cant eat dinners with drinks we tipped $25 so altogether 3 all u can eats with...
Read moreWhen you first enter the restaurant it's clean and it does not smell like fish. The tables are too close together and make it uncomfortable because you're sitting so close to other parties. The service sucked. The waitress had a little bit of an attitude and didn't pay attention to our table. It seemed like a major burden for her to come get our order. It was also obnoxious for her to mention that anything wasted would have a charge - we can read and the menu makes it very clear. The men's bathroom was disgusting. Anytime your shoes stick to the floor due to urine is not a good indicator of how the night is going to go. The women's bathroom was okay... Since I'm clearly unhappy I'll mention the toilet paper was cheap and more closely represented a paper towel. The food: All of the tuna was over dyed - super deep red and vibrant. If you know much about fish you'd know that's not a good thing. Most of the rolls contained mashed fish puree so if you're looking for a fish paste or spread to simply swallow you would be pleased. The salmon skin hand roll was chewey - if you've had a good one you'd know this is not how they're meant to be at all. The hand roll also didn't stay together. Their tempura selection was decent but the zucchini was sliced too thick and got soggy. Most of the fish appeared fresh but a bunch of it also seemed dried out and old. The nigiri was also mostly rice. Additionaly the only sauce they used here is teryaki sauce. Don't bother wasting your money here find something better. Maybe just spend the $30 per person on a few cans of tuna... It's the same quality and you'll be happier. If you want you can throw in red food coloring and...
Read moreThis is an experience I had with Izumi Sushi Hibachi All You Can Eat (AYCE); second time here but this is the first time I’m doing AYCE vs ordering.
The restaurant is located right next to the I-35 fwy in the Tri-County Crossing II Shopping Center, on I-35 Frontage Rd and not far from Corridor Pkwy and Roy Richard Drive. Not hard to find since they have the signature trapezoidal storefront with a big sign. Parking usually isn’t bad since it shares a large outdoor lot with all the other stores; may have to walk a bit during dinning hours.
The AYCE dinner is $28.95 (at the time) with a great selection of items that are very decent. Even though the portion sizes are slightly smaller than regular orders, it is great since we always have the urge to try everything here! The new snow crab salad is great, couples with refreshing cucumber strips, and their salmon sashimi are pretty decent. The vegetable soba soup is quite flavorful and filling; fish roes also pretty fresh. The hibachi steak is well cooked with flavorful soy paste as well as yumyum sauce on the side. Last but not least, their green tea ice cream is amazing.
The service was also great given how busy they are. Hendry is especially friendly and attentive; he is an Indonesian guy from Bali, who even knows how to speak Mandarin and knows people from Taiwan! Great server.
Because of the fulfilling food and amazing service, will definitely come back to try more items (fried Oreo on my next dessert list). Keep up the good work Hendry & Izumi...
