Soul Bowls — Restaurant in Scotch Plains

It’s been long overdue that I’m writing this, but please bear with me as it crucial you read this in its entirety. Ever since I discovered Soul Bowls nearly 2 years ago, I’ve never found a business that has captivated my attention quite like this one. When you stumble upon a 100% vegan business that delivers such an exceptional level of quality, consistency, and undeniable customer oriented focus it makes you wonder why you haven’t discovered them sooner. Customer service is one of the most mentally demanding aspects of business, and Soul Bowls handles this with true expertise. From the moment I started visiting this business, I’ve watched them continue to grow and deliver the most appetizing meals that I’ve ever come across. Endless combinations to choose from on the menu, seasonal specialties along with a variety of grab n’ go’s, and even Soul Bowls merchandise on site to browse and purchase! It truly didn’t come as a surprise once they opened up their second location in Metuchen as this business curates so much well deserved attention that it is crucial that they expand. More people deserve Soul Bowls. It’s impossible to walk into this establishment and leave without a smile, I am so grateful to have such a wonderful place to visit. Started from a food truck, Michelene & Alicia kicked this business into overdrive so quickly that they threw on the brakes and had to open up a brick & mortar location. Tucked away in Scotch Plains, I guarantee you once you visit you’ll be blown away. Before you blink twice, you’ll find yourself back inside ordering a second round as your eyes start to wander through the remainder of the menu. Take it as a pro tip, if you have trouble deciding pick a pre-built bowl, can’t go wrong with the “Elvis”. However, once you’re ready for the big league you’ll need to “build your own” and add as many toppings as you can pronounce off the menu. Throw in a smoothie, or treat yourself to a fresh juice. And while you’re at it, pick a few options from the “grab n’ go” fridge so you can snack before you get home to devour your bowl. This business features indoor & outdoor seating, bathroom on site, and a beautifully curated interior layout & design. I’m going to attach a compilation of bowls, keep your drooling to a minimum and get your butt over to one of the best 100% vegan businesses you will find in the local area. Pictured also is my most recent favorite the “Drunk’n Punkin” bowl with a Detox juice on the side. Thank you Michelene & Alicia for your truly inspiring and outright awesome business, you are a blessing to the surrounding community and I cannot thank you enough for creating a masterpiece. P.S. Can you create a rewards system, or a bring your own reusable bowl or juice jar system? Alternatively if I could have you fill a large souls bowls bucket that would work...

If you have an allergy, I recommend not coming here. If you click Gluten Free under allergies, you will still receive Soulnola which is not gluten free. You need to specify that you want the Soulnola removed even if you mark that you have a very serious allergy. You will also be told that the Soulnola is essentially gluten free, which isn’t good enough considering how serious gluten allergies are. I am writing this as a warning to those with allergies or loved ones with allergies. An intolerance should never be up for debate and someone who lists they are gluten free should not be served gluten.

*To your response: The refund you noted in your response was a small bowl for a large, which we were only able to receive after a long argument that involved 4 people. I did not want to take the time to talk about how rude your employee was but seeing this response I can mention it. Your employee was beyond condescending on such a sensitive topic for no valid reason. It was confusing why she decided to be that mean. She also mentioned ‘this happens all the time’ which is concerning. We did order online and we did note our allergies, so no we are not in good hands. I took the time to message you to make sense of what happened and I then reviewed your business as a warning to people...

So someone I work with ( the same person who I mentioned in my Fernando's steak house review that got all the meat juice dripped all over his shirt , Still funny to me! ) was ordering a soul bowl and asked if I wanted one. I had heard everyone talk about how good they are but had never had one. When I asked what it tasted like he said he really couldn't describe it. He offered to buy me one so of course I'm in. We ordered two small P.B. & J with extra peanut butter. All I have to say is he was right , I really cant describe it but I like it. I mean I like it so much I'm becoming a regular. This place is pretty unique to me and although its a little pricy it's worth it. They have a nice selection of bowls and smoothies that I am sure are pretty good Too. I definitely recommend this place but again I really can't describe what it is you will just have to try it for yourself.
