I was eating the Chicken Katsu and got some pain in my tooth. I spit out the chicken I had chewed and found a steel staple in it. They had somehow allowed a staple to end up in my breaded chicken. My tooth hasn't hurt since then, so maybe I didn't do any serious damage, but I am scared to think what would have happened if I hadn't chewed thoroughly. My waitress was very nice and apologized, but I was sort of surprised they didn't offer a discount based on the trauma of it. Remember folks: eating a staple offers the risk of gastrointestinal perforation: a life-threatening condition that is hard to diagnose and requires surgery.
Onto the normal food review: Chicken tasted good and panko is panko, so nice and crisp. The lemon slice was present, as many people like to squeeze a little lemon across breaded cutlets, so that was a nice touch. The katsuretsu sauce is my favorite part of this dish and they gave me extra, so I enjoyed myself. Their ginger salad dressing was outstanding and I had more than I needed, so that's another star for them. The tea wasn't bad and them taking me in at 3 when their neighbors Red Pepper and Siam House refused to serve me so early, is also worth mention and appreciation.
In summary, five stars for good food and service and two stars missing for scratching my tooth on a piece of sharp steel in the food and no offer of discount after it. Good place to eat, but chew thoroughly and have a reliable dentist who works for...
Read moreFor starters DO NOT SUPPORT this business. Unfortunately I’ve been a customer (by delivery only) for almost 3 years now. Recently lastnight was my last time ordering from here. I placed an order online for delivery and immediately after the store called me to ask if I’m going to tip. Now I’m wondering if I said no I’m not tipping would they even deliver my food. And this is not the first time this has happened to me from this business calling to make sure I tip the driver. I replied yes in cash when I receive my food. When my food arrived from the delivery driver she sticks her hand out for a tip before giving me my food in a demanding way so that made me uncomfortable. I then reach for my food and she starts screaming about tipping her as if it’s required to tip. Tips are a form of gratitude for good service. She then decided to keep yelling and throws my food on my steps. I call today to speak to a manager about the delivery service and ask for a refund and they told me there was nothing they can do and they can’t give a refund. Absolutely the worse service ever. And not to sound ignorant this customer service always come from Asians. Absolutely...
Read moreThis is a cute, small, sushi place. It’s nice and clean and I love the decor. I was introduced to this place by my boyfriend through a few delivery orders that he had placed, and decided one day to stop by and pick up sushi here, because I like their sushi better than a sushi place that I use to go to near my home.
Not only is the food good and fresh, but the price is way better than other places. I paid $17, for 3 rolls. I can only speak on the deliciousness of the sweet potato roll, vegetable roll, and peanut roll, because I am vegan and that’s all I ever order. However, the fact that I have had those 3 rolls from Go Sushi a total of about 10x says a lot. Lol The bonus for me is that there’s an option to substitute the white rice for brown rice, which I prefer.
I will definitely order from here again. I have never had dine in service, but the staff that answers the phone, and while picking up are always very pleasant.
There’s also a very easy and convenient online ordering system that they have via their website that I have also used and had a great...
